Carrying on from the fans forum yesterday, and looking on his Twitter, I think he's probably halfway out the door. Shame really, thought he was solid at then back, and a really nice bloke too.

To be honest if Marc Pullan can keep doing what he did yesterday for the majority of the season then i'll be happy. Certainly didn't play like a 40 year old and if what Dom said at the forum is correct then pace and injuries wont be a issue with him which is the worry generally with players of that age. Jahmahl was struggling with the journey so who knows if he would have been here next season anyway.

Yes its a huge shame - its well known that he was traveling long distances to play for us - often not getting home till after midnight from training and home midweek matches - I hardly called that not committed ! And like every other payer he wants to play, not sit on the bench, I am sure when he signed he was told that he would be playing every game if fit, so I can see why he doesn't want to do all that traveling when he feels he is not wanted.

I'm sorry but he hasn't given Dom a chance, so he wasn't committed.

I don't think it was that he wasn't committed Chris, he travelled all the way to the game (turned up later with Taser) and Taser started ahead of him. Plus, I've heard that he always goes to training when some other local players sometimes don't turn up. Hugely committed lad, and I completely understand if he wants to leave, which is a great shame. It's like we're cutting our nose off despite our face.

From the website;

After getting his managerial reign off to a winning start at home to Guernsey yesterday, U's boss Dom Di Paola has today seen his playing resources trimmed after centre back Jahmahl King requested his Pilot Field registration be cancelled with immediate effect to enable him to seek a new club closer to home.

The former Horsham defender was one of the Club's final new arrivals over the summer, and was expected to link up with Sean Ray to create a formidable partnership at the heart of United's back line this season, but after starting the first five games, he lost his place to Tim Olorunda.

Although he then regained the number six shirt for the visit of Merstham on September 6, King found himself back amongst the substitutes for Di Paola's first match in charge, with new signing Marc Pullan relegating him to the bench once again, leading him to call time on his United career after just thirteen appearances

wont lose sleep over him going. very average and had few good games, mostly average games and to many mistake he make to be missed a lot. he had long journey but agree Chris he new that when he signed and hastings no further from home than was then but probably money made him come but reality of travel now mean to hard for him to carry on. glad dom making his own team and putting thing right that been wrong.

Liam do you not think that Jamahl may have been o a healthy pay packet, hence an obligation to turn up for training, when we know some others weren't on a similar amount.

I wish Jamahl well. Whatever his reasons for going at this point, his spell with us simply didn't work out. Yes, that does leave us very thin at centre half; but, as Peter says, the important thing is that Dom should create his own team in his own way. Dom made it clear in his 'meet the manager session' and in Saturday's programme that he wants and expects from his players 100% commitment. He went out of his way to praise Kenny for playing out of his favoured position on Saturday and he said he expected to vary his team and formation to respond to the challenge posed by the opposition in each individual game.

Of course, any good manager will listen to the views and take account of the preferences of players; but he should not be constrained. Listening to Dom, I very much formed the view that he would be ready to take tough decisions even if it potentially meant upsetting a player.
