After an already unbeaten run of 6 games we will now face Carshalton.jpg

Last time we played against them was in the Ryman Premier Division; we lost both games:away with 1-0 and at home with 1-4.

In the table they are just one place above us (12th) with also 12 points but with one game more played. Goal difference is 8-8!

We are just in a flow; not only we have now an unbeaten run of 6 games but the team plays better and better !

Hope a lot of supporters will visit the Pilot Field ! Come on your U'ssssssssss!

Confidence should be high on Saturday following a performance like Tuesday nights. I really hope we can get a few more goals again. Really looking forward to this one.

Absolutely gutted today! Two shocking errors giving a very average Carshalton team all 3 points against a lethargic and at times tired looking Hastings team. Yes we dominated 2nd half and the stats will tell us we had all the chances but too many players looked leggy and unfit and the majority of supporters I spoke to agreed.

I think we can all forgive Josh, as I cannot remember another mistake from him over the past 2 seasons but what was Masters doing? I really hope Sam was injured because I have no idea why he was on the pitch. But despite those two howlers if we had taken our chances we should have been well clear before the eventual winner. Kenny should have had at least four and the keeper, who I understand was their reserve, pulled off 4 or 5 fantastic saves. Thought Razor was immense again today along side King and Sammy made a difference when he came on. Taser had a very poor game, Rose continues to disappoint and was Cook playing?

So a shocking result today and im sure the team will be devastated, but they only have themselves to blame. Too many wasted chances, too many players off form and two shocking mistakes. Now 15 points behind Burgess Hill and the squad looking desperately thin with many players looking to be carrying knocks. Only positive today was see Vickers back kicking a ball. God do we miss him!

Absolutely woeful first half, couldn't get near the ball against a team far superior than us.On saying that we certainly had the better chances but their keeper made two top draw saves.Horrible goal to concede.
Second half was a very different story and we deservedly got an equaliser but once again their keeper made two superb saves that kept them in the game.Second goal was also a gimme.
Our display overall should have given us at least a draw but it was not to be.
Still feel we will be lucky to make the top ten

Strange game at the Pilot Field-why did Hastings play at such a pedestrian pace in the first half? We were so slow all over the pitch and it made a huge difference when Sam came on as, at last, we had a player who was running around a bit at some sort of pace. Carshalton find it difficult to score goals so to gift them 2 was rather unfortunate. Unlucky not to get a point in the end but we can't afford to start games as if we are playing in the seniors walking football competition.

I'm gutted about today's performance having seen two of our best performances in the last week. Something was pointed out to me that those two games may have taken a bit to much out of the players? If that is the case we need to work on fitness. Just an observation. Let's go again Monday, we know we are capable of playing well.

Today, Sammy (our best outfield player this season) is on the bench (you assume he is injured), however once on the pitch he is running after everything and Hastings look a completely different side.

Why was Tim sitting on the bench. I would always (if fit) have him playing in front of the back four.

As a supporter there are times when you just can not see the reason for some of the managers decisions.

Why at 1-0 down do you take off your left back (who was having an OK game), move your right back over to the left, and bring on a new right back. I can only guess that the left back was injured.

Then at 2-1, rather than bring on one of the two strikers that are sitting on the bench, you move your centreback forward. I guess there was not enough time to get the forward on.

Couldn't agree more Cliff. Bankole has been outstanding of late so perhaps Timmy deserves to wait his turn but otherwise you've hit the nail on the head.

Young Sam was struggling with breathing due to a bad chest. Can't really grumble with that I think.

Fair enough Lenny. Obviously supporters don't always know the facts.
When things like that come to light, the managers decisions are understandable.

I hope cook is not going to be able to live off that 40 yarder for the rest if the season. Passenger today, and we can't afford more non-performances like that.

Was a bit worried about how often Rose got caught out at RB, especially in the first half. Gets forward a lot but struggles to get back quickly I feel and seems out of sorts bearing in mind his footballing quality and reputation. Lot of the simple things were just not going right for him. Not quite sure why but hopefully It will work out soon enough as technically a class player.

That being said thought he played much better when switched to LB despite being right footed.

We were poor first half and slow to most balls but looked a different side second half and the goal ( like the first ) was a horrible individual error as opposed to poor team play. Thought the CB's were excellent throughout and Ronnie Dolan very lively and industrious too.

Ade caused them problems but tired and Kenny worked hard throughout and got his reward with a poachers goal.

When Sam Crutwell went off, would have liked to see a formation switch to accommodate either Bright or Frankie with Rose, Razor and King moving to 3 CBs but to be fair we did equalise shortly after Bryce came on.

A kick in the teeth of a result and should really have been at least a draw.

Carshalton fans were excellent again and they must enjoy coming here!

Again Hastings suffered against a team with two quick players up front! Think we could use more effort down left wing, Dolon seems to play too deep and both wingers pass back as soon as they receive the ball, why not try to take on full backs more to beat offside. Thought we were unlucky to lose to two bad errors. However we didn't deserve more than one point overall. Monday is now looking like a difficult game due to our inconsistencies and fitness level. Lets go all out for the win lads.
