Because the game against East Grinstead Town F.C. on Tuesday is postponed ( they have to play a rematch in the FA Cup ) we will now face on Saturday
Last season Worthing finished 15th in the table. Away we won on 30-11-2013 with 2-3 ( goals McCreadie 2x and Hare ) and home we won on 29-03-2014 with 4-0. It was an honour to be at that game ! Goals from Adams and McCreadie 3x (!)
Now The Rebels are 15th in the table but they have a game in hand . They have to play another game this week, at home on Wednesday against Redhill. ''Star player '' is a player who left us just before the end of the season Trevor McCreadie. He scored already 4 times and with 2 goals yesterday he was responsible for the elimination of Guernsey in the FA Cup.
And Hastings United ? After a bad run of 3 consecutive lost games we now won 2 times and coming behind from 2-0 and winning 2-3 against Eastbourne show not alone character but will give the team confidence. Winning games is the best way of regaining confidence ! Hope that our captain will add some goals on his total of now 3 League goals. Hope to shake some hands because i will be visiting this and the Merstham game.
If we want to climb up the League ladder then this is a must win ! 6 points this weekend and life is looking better and better again ! Support the team and come on your U'sssssss.

Game Worthing against Redhill this week is also postponed.
Be great to see you again Bert.I think we should give him the award just to show how honest we are. It would have been easy to fix the result but we were straight and gave it to Trevor even though he dropped us in it.
1-1 just about fair today with Hastings having the better chances but Worthing dominating large amounts of possession over the 90 minutes, particularly in the first half, and for me looked much more of a team than Hastings.
Another really poor opening 30 minutes with Worthing looking stronger, sharper and fitter all over the pitch and they deservedly took the lead through a Trevor McCreadie penalty. Wrong end to make a judgement on whether it was or wasn't but the Worthing fans said at half time it was a definite foul both outside and inside the box. The goal did seem to kick some life into Hastings and we could have quite easily scored a couple just before the break, with the keeper pulling off a great save from Sammy's free kick, one off the line and the keeper nearly letting a long range Taser effort squirm under his body.
Second half was a lot more end to end with Worthing again looking the better team although Hastings looking a constant danger with the long hoof up field which became all too familiar, but at times successful, throughout the 2nd half. After Frankie had one tipped round the post when one on one, Ade volleyed home after good work by Taser (I think) and then should have put Hastings 2-1 up when clean through from Sam's long ball but failed to even hit the target. After that Worthing seemed to take control again and certainly looked the fitter side going in to the closing stages and I think we were all relieved to grab a point at the end.
It was really interesting today to watch Dave Cook's performance and discuss it with other fans. He is such an offensive player that he is leaving huge holes in the middle of the park and poor Sammy was over run at times. We have seen this before this season and we have to have Timmy back in there as a holding midfielder if Cook is to be effective, but at the same time we need King fit and in form. Another positive performance from Sam at left back, who for me was our best defender for the 2nd week in a row
For me it was a real average performance yet again and nothing seems to be changing, but I guess we need another 20 odd games to gel according to some. I just do not see any positive signs at the moment and no change in the way we are playing. I think we will win some and lose some but I am struggling at the moment to see how we can compete at the top with our current level of performance.

More of the same I'm afraid.Totally lack lustre from start to finish. How many more one on one's are we going to fluff?(never look like scoring them). How many crosses are going no further than the first defender?.Is Jamahl that bad that we have to keep playing Timmy at centre back when his presence is needed in midfield?Poor Bert must have thought he had walked into the wrong ground. We have certainly gone backwards since his last visit. Now the big decision is do I watch Hastings or England? What a shame the Great British Bake-off isn't on
fare result and ok performance quite exciting 2nd half but missing something and if our strikers could take more of the chances we create i think confidence would improve our performance. lot said about defence and blame certain players for mistakes but on chances felt it was another game we should have won today. Sam Adams was superb as was Sam Cruttwel. Great finish by Tim Olorunda for the equaliser.
Thought penalty was soft but guess if other way we would have appeal for it but Josh so close to saving it. Not really sure what we are missing but think we at least look more organise than early in season but need something to get more goals same story as every season
1-1 probably about right. That must be Trevor McCreadie's best Pilot Field performance-typical it was against Hastings. Taser had an excellent first half but Worthing reorganised their defence a bit to cope. Hopefully we will find some form soon and start climbing the table.
Agree that the two Sams were very good today, as was Taser first half. The centre of defence though is a worry....somehow we assumed we would be strong but how we miss Ben's calming influence and experience. He made it look easy by just being in the right place. Being in the wrong place seems to be our speciality and far too often there are yawning gaps between our back four. Agree with John that it is great to see Cook so regularly posing a goal threat ...clearly he always expects to score like a good striker...but at what price. Great strike from Tim but otherwise he produced a rather unconvincing performance at the back. The league is now beginning to take form and it's hard to see at this stage how we will be anything more than play-off contenders at best....but I do think we generally have better players than last season so I do expect us to improve and start climbing.
Overall I agree that a draw was a fair result, however I think the biggest mistake that was made was to start Tim at the back when we have an accomplished centre back on the beach, from where I was it looked like a definite penalty. Tim looked suspect at the back, but he did take his goal really well, also the management of the team by terry wasn't great, I think after about seventy five minutes we looked out On our feet and terry should have made a sub, but overall I think that it was an improved performance by the team and I I have a good feeling for a win on Monday night
Highlights are up! bit rough and ready this week but have got 15mins or so of post game interviews with Terry White, Tim Olorunda, Kenny Pogue, Richard Rose and Sean Ray which is well worth watching!
Excellent again Dan. Clearly the players are together and confident of success this season and I must say listening to them speak gives me a lot more confidence than I had at 4.45 yesterday. Always good to listen to Razor and thought Kenny came over really well and its good to have him back.
Any chance of a collection for Timmy's birthday so he can replace that dodgy cardigan with the big hole in it?
At Conquest: ok i did not watch the first 25 minutes and just missed the 0-1 but the last 15 minutes i saw from the first half we should have scored at least one goal. 2 lucky stops from their goalkeeper and one big save prevented that. The first 15 minutes of the second half we did not threaten them at all but then we had our best part. A good goal by Timmy and ADE had the winner on his toes. At the end they had some chances but i think it was a fair result. What strikes me were a few things : we have problems in defense when the other teams are playing with players upfront who are quick and switch a lot. When we play the long ball we had most of the time only 2 upfront. There was a huge gap between the lines and the midfielders did not support often enough. Their nummer 8 was a player who run constantly and switched from lef to right and was always unmarked. The player who does it and can do it Well by us is Sam Adams. But he needs a back up because he has to do too much and at the end you could see that. Also i thought at the end some players were tired/not fit enough. So why not change to 4-2-1-3 ? With Tim and Richard in defensieve midfield, Sam as the number 10 and Ade and Tasan as wingers. Two things at the end: 2 trainings sessions a week is imo not enough ! The last thing is a huge thank for the great and warm welcome again. Hastings is a very warm club and that will rest longer then the 1-1.
Well done Dan and Pat for putting that together ...I'm loving the interviews ...like John says , it gives you a bit of confidence when you hear players talking like they are ...personally thought though if we had someone like their number 8 yesterday , Hayward i think his name was , who wanted the ball and played simple small passes from midfield , then we would be getting there . One other thing , Taser ,,,, don't get me wrong , I love a wide player and he had a good game yesterday , but if only he could beat a man and then head to the penalty box before crossing then maybe we too would get more penalty's ...we don't seem to get that many ...compare to other clubs . He has the ability but sometimes seems a bit too eager to get a cross in , often before anyone else has even made it into the box ,,,just a thought !
Bert perhaps you are seeing for yourself why some of us are concerned about the manager and tactics. I am waiting for you to be shot down in flames like I do when I dare vent criticism. Come on Mr Thorpe show some consistency!!!!!!
I'm not sure why you bother to comment on here Chris B as it's always negative it's about time you got behind the team instead of being on there backs I await your comments of Mr Pogue now he's back(of which I'm delighted about as he gives 110%)as you seem to have a dislike also I'm interested to know how you know such top information within the club in relation to Ben White when other people who are very much involved in the club have no idea my option is you just talk garbage!!!!!!
To be fair to Chris, Arrows, I think a few of us found out before those involved with the club did. News travels quick in this town. Surprised we have still had no confirmation either on the website or in the news as to what has happened. And is Kane still with us? Saw TW and Stapley yesterday but no Kane out on the touch line.

Hi Chris, you almost got me......no. this wasn't pure criticism.. Like the other 1 million other football managers in this country i have my own view. I do not see the players each week, i do not train them and all i wrote is based on today's game and Dan great highlights and opinions of honest Hastings supporters who i can call my friends. I am a coach in Holland for more then 25 years and i know what criticism is - both positive, negative and constructive. I saw the team put a lot of effort in it and hearing the post match interviews from the players they have faith the team will succeed. And so do I !! Loved the atmosphere again, the welcome from friends and the aftermatch talk with some of the players. So being negative Chris ? Sorry to disappoint you. Btw were you at the game? Tomorrow another chance to support the team and the management.
No Bert I wasn't there yesterday, hence no comments from me on the game, I shall be there tomorrow hoping for a win, and also hoping Kenny gets amongst the goals, Arrows if I am talking garbage why does it concern you so much, that you feel obliged to post.

Oh yes we enjoyed !Such a nice gesture to see Marijke and i coming to the Cole Warren stand.... Completely overwhelmed
