After a very disappointing game last Saturday hopefully the team can put in a better display against Redhill Football Club

Last season we won at home 17-08-2013 2-1 ( goals Crone and Adams ) and away on 26-02-2014 0-4 ( goals Jirbandey,T.Olorunda 2x and Pogue ) Redhill finished last season place 22 but didn't relegate.

Redhill has won 2 points this season; Draws against East Grinstead 1-1, Burgess Hill 3-3 and they lost away last Saturday to Ramsgate 1-0. They play their home games : Kiln Brow ,Three Arch Road, Redhill, Surrey

And we ? Getting 4 points out of 3 is less then we all have expected i think. The reasons for the poor performance against Chipstead are more or less obvious but i think Terry and his staff and players can only react in one way and that is to put the Chipstead away and focus on the Redhill game. We have a very good squad and yes maybe some weaknesses but normally i'll go for 3 points in Redhill !

King off. Crutwell on. Could be 5 down. I honestly never saw this coming this season. This against a Redhill team reprieved from relegation to county league and favourites with the bookies for relegation.

Think we are going to have many more of these results.Once again looks like we are going to be one of the lowest goal scorers.Only one win so far and that was only because we were playing one of the very few teams that appear worse than us.So much for the great squad we have assembled. So much pre season optimism turning to pessimism.Already need to be asking questions of players and manager.Who is to blame?

I make that 13 defeats in 27 games since TW took over and 7 defeats in last 11 league games. Burgess Hill now the biggest game of his managerial career.

I know I'm going to upset a couple of my old mates on here but for reference John Maggs lost just 6 league games over the same period of time before he was replaced.

Have to say I couldn't see this disastrous start coming. I guess I was taken in by the hype like quite a few others. I assumed maybe we had a weakened team but it looks like most were available.

So....every result has been worse than the one before and we have only beaten the team who are rock bottom.  Hmmmm.

Can anyone provide any good news ?

I'm not usually one for a negative comment, I try to keep positive, but in all honestly, I could t see any positives from tonight's game. It was a total embarrassment. To be down to ten men and a goal down after 15 minutes or so was painful, and it only got worse. Redhill' second goal was basically identical to the one we conceded on Saturday, Sam Adams' shocking pack pass didn't reach the outrushing Pelling who was lobbed with ease. Redhill could've had so many more, but again credit to Pelling. By the way, for the entirety of the second half, we didn't manage one shot on target. Totally embarrassing performance.

after sat was not going tonight but thought id see good play from hastings after 2 bad games. how wrong. Mick no good news not even a wet pitch made a different. our players still not good enough, still moved ball slowly, still cant pass a ball and the hype of before the season was just hype. do not like ever to pick out playes but has Rose really played football league? he was awful. King, he was worse than Rose. Thank god for Razor. Masters little boy lost. Tim did ok, so did Dolan, Cook not up to it. Johnson never a sening off not even a booking but there players cry like babies and ref reacts to it. Adams worked hard but did not look fit, Sawyer up front on his own playing against a defender that was 6ft 6 maybe so what chance did he have.
Tactics all wrong new formation, it not friendly now and still experiments, no Terry White again and if Ben White is doing team selection, tactics and subs then hes out of his depth and very incompetant
The statistics on Terry White are worry especially when he not even at games what is going on.
good news Mick, Redhill do tea in china mugs that was very nice

Once again very disappointing I think the sending off was the turning point in the game and IMO was never a red card a booking yes but never a red, the ball was won cleanly and in fact hit Tim square in the face as it went forward. Had a few chances early doors but we never tested the keeper who quite frankly looked shocking. Some very strange team decisions there tonight, why Tas isn't getting started is beyond me? Frankie despite his nothing short of 110% effort being put in each game is never going to be at his best playing as a lone striker! we need a target man who he can feed off of, I've not seen Ade play this season so I can't judge on how he plays alongside Frankie. I thought Sam looked to be still carrying the knock from Saturday but still tried, Razor was superb tonight, he won everything in the air and kept going till the bitter end.
Overall a poor couple of performances, if we can go on a 5 match winning run the last two games will be soon forgotten but I really can't see that happening just yet.

Like Mick said i think most of us had not see this coming.
Terry was not there i read.
Before any speculations made maybe can please someone ask why he wasn't there.
2 defeats against teams we normally have to win. Some shocking performances from players who
normally perform well or did so in the past.
The main thing is that we - despite the chances we create in the first 2 games - don't create them anymore.
Are the midfielders lacking in providing the attackers; do we have not pace and depth on the flanks ? Frankie on his own ?
It is a disappointing start of the season. Not only we lost 8 points in 4 games but losing confidence will cost more.
So hopefully things will be sorted out in all aspects and we can start again with winning some games.

I was told on Saturday that Terry has a family issue and that is why he is not available. I think that is a valid reason. Let's hope he gets back very soon.

Think Taser has to start if only so Sam can be played up front to give Frankie some support if Ade isn't playing. he's strong enough and works hard enough to give even bigger defenders problems and to give Frankie some more much needed space. One of Dolan or Cook would have to drop to fit him in though.

Didn't go so no footage obviously but that might be a good thing!

Early Last Season we beat Chipstead 1-0 away and beat Redhill 2-1 at home and got a creditable 1-1 draw away at Burgess Hill, in fact we did the double over Redhill beating them 4-0 away.
Also last season we were hardly ever out of the top 5, but this season already we are 17th.
I am begining to wonder if this squad is as good as last years?

I think we have a good squad; even better as last year. But there are some '' gaps '' in the squad. Left back is for young Cruttwell according real defending maybe too much to ask. Absence of Vickers, Frankie a lone striker. Fitness's of some players. You can also argue about tactics, wrong substitutions etc. But please; we have only 4 games played. Yes, decisions will have to be make but stand behind the team. Being negative only will help nobody; positive criticism hopefully does.

Think the ( understandable ) choice of Frazer Shaw to sign for Billericay rather than us was a blow as Sam has been exposed a lot so far due to lack of defensive cover to help which as 17 is really tough. Individually we have some very good players but it's a question of getting them to gel as a unit and certainly could do with cover up front.

Tembas absence from the last couple of games is a big shame as although very raw he certainly seems to have something about him to cause defences problems.

IMO I think the squad is better overall but not working anywhere near well enough as a unit yet as it should be.

Burgess Hill on Sat is going to be a very tough game though, the toughest one so far but to lose three on the bounce so early would really not help confidence at all.

Think everyone forgets that young Cruttwell was only ever meant to stand in as LB as his normal position would be CM, hes never been coached as a LB so think all the negativity towards him from both fans and players does not encourage his confidence!!!!!!

Totally agree Jacqui. Unfortunately young Cruttwell is the scapegoat because of the complete incompetence of the club, and I include Maggs, in signing a decent left back. How long have we been talking about this, 18 months? Should have been the no1 priority signing this season. I would still have Cruttwell at the back rather than Masters though.
