Still think 43 points will see teams safe. Anything less than a win against Ramsgate will cause real problems. Not sure where else the 5 points will come from.
Don't want to be a doom and gloom merchant but if that stays at 1-0, we lose Saturday and Monday and East Grinstead win two very winnable games then we are 8 points from safety and as good as down. Come on Merstham!!
This is just bloody typical. In a season, whether it's good or bad, but especially in a good season, you need a bit of luck. I think our luck ran out in last years playoff final when the own goal went in after 114 minutes. We had luck to get in to that playoff, with Sittingbourne drawing with Bird**** Hill. We have had absolutely no luck this season that I can recall. Absolute shower of poo and this is just bloody typical.
06/04/15 MANAGEMENT DUO RELIEVED OF DUTIES
Horsham Football Club has tonight asked the management duo of Anthony Storey and Cliff Cant to vacate their position with immediate effect. Despite today's victory over Corinthian-Casuals, the club remains in a parlous position at the bottom of the table and thus needs to begin preparation for the new season immediately. Hornets Chairman Kevin Borrett thanked both Storey and Cant for their efforts, which saw some early successes in January and kindled hope that Horsham would climb out of the relegation zone. However, results in February and March were disappointing and, though the pair were given time to turn things around, the club has failed to progress since the departure of player-manager Gary Charman at the end of last year. An announcement on their replacement will be announced later this week.
I see this in two different lights, firstly it's either an extremely late roll of the dice in a bid to stave off relegation or secondly they have resorted themselves relegation already. I think the appointment of their new management will answer that question.
I would have Dom back here tomorrow. He left because of one man and that man has now gone. Forget all the East Preston signings, he had a job to keep us up and he brought in those guys he knew and trusted to do that job. I liked the brand of football he was trying to play and that has to be the way forward for this club.
Dave O and the board have 3 choices for next season, keep Kane, which I don't think will happen, appoint Razor, which they may well do or start afresh with a completely new managerial team whether it be Wilson & co or Dom & Co. Still think he was the right appointment for this club to take it forward and would not be unhappy to see him back however strange that may appear.Â
Just one thing about Kane. I commented on another thread that he got everything right today. He was also as vocal as I have heard or seen. He was screaming at the players, then calming them down, he was in the refs and lines mans ear all match long and was more animated then I have ever seen him. I think that's what we want to see from him all the time And it was good to see.
Have also heard that Vickers allegedly walked out on Horsham a couple of weeks ago. Is this true and if so would still love to see him back here next year.

They've blatently started next seasons planning IMO, the statements wording defiantly alludes to that I think. I think they know they're down.... But wouldn't surprise me to see Dom there, he knows how to win that league!
Darren Freemans still an option for next season for us too IMO, and we have the money to still go for the title afresh. ( yes I know how silly that sounds now but next season would be a fresh start )

Dan, first thing to do is avoid relegation........ we are not safe yet...
This is far from over but appears to be a 3 way shoot out between us, East Grinstead and Ramsgate. Redhill are 6 points behind us and have an inferior goal difference, so effectively 7 points adrift. They have winnable games at home to Chipstead and away to South Park but that means they would have to get something at Folkestone next week who are pushing for 2nd place and home advantage in the play offs. They are gone!
Ramsgate are effectively 5 points adrift with the goal difference and a game in hand. All of their games are winnable but based on yesterdays performance it will be tough. Keep in mind their main man Tom Chapman also hobbled off yesterday. They have home games v Carshalton, who need points to be safe but have a shocking away record and have not won since they beat Hastings a month ago, Guernsey, who have nothing to play for but are always tough and Corinthian, who also have nothing to play for. They also travel to Horsham who will be down by then but will hopefully be putting in a performance for their new management team. I think the most they can expect is 7 points meaning a win at South Park should see us safe.
East Grinstead also have winnable games left all against middle of the table teams with nothing to play for. They travel to Walton & Hersham and Whitstable and host Tooting.
So I think a win at South Park will see us safe but may just all require a point at W&H last game to be sure depending on Ramsgate's results.
John: - Yes, a good analysis, I agree all of that you say above; but the caveat is that if we revert back at South Park to the level of performance we put in against Corinthian Casuals and Horsham then we're back in the mix again -particularly if others pick up points. No pressure then!
I'm lead to believe that the league have spoken to Guernsey about sending " weaker" sides for midweek games but as someone suggested how do you manage it? If it wasn't such a mission of a journey I would of been tempted to go and watch it. Let's hope Guernsey can do us a favour.
So guersney without there 1st choice goalkeeper and captain chris tardiff, without current top goalscorer of season dom heaume and now take ross allen off at half time :/ so much for having field strongest team
