Two of our play off rivals will be playing a day early. The Guernsey vs Folkestone match has been brought forward to the Friday evening April 25th.

It's obviously to do with streaming the fixture live. I must admit I was quite looking forward to Guernsey joking the league but they certainly want things changed around a lot to suit them don't they?

Nothing to do with streaming the fixture live Barrie. Guernsey's ground is not available until after 5pm on the Saturday and all fixtures on the last day must kick off no later than 3pm. The Ryman ruled that the fixture must be either played on the Friday in Guernsey or on a neutral ground on the mainland on Saturday. After discussions with the playing staff Folkestone agreed to play in Guernsey on the Friday. Folkestone have taken the view that they exist to take part in sport and did not wish to be seen gaining a potential technical advantage by adopting an unsporting attitude.

Ah ok Dave thanks for that. Surely though playing on a working day may give them an advantage in that some players may not be able to get time off of work? Something I'm certain a lot of clubs have fallen foul to this season.
