Really pleased to hear that. Thought he looked good when Tooting came and he took his goal well.

Must admit I wasn't sure whether he would come back because of the travelling but glad to hear my concerns were unfounded one.

Jirbandey, Sawyer, O'Connor & Oyinsan, exactly what was required about now.

Bit more optimistic now!

Great news. Really rate Frankie and thought he was the outstanding player on the pitch when Tooting came down.

Still no sign of any full backs though. Has to be the most important position to be filled unless they are thinking of sticking JJ or Irish there.

Matt will never play for the club again, he left under a cloud. I'm sure Terry knows its a position we need to cover and giving his great work so far I reckon he'll have something up his sleeve.

Have heard talk in the crowd on Monday gone about Carl Rook but not sure if we need another striker now?

I can't even imagine the mess rimmer is going to make, if Frankie and Andy play.

How about Ross Sutton, Eastbourne Town skipper or Ollie Rowe, who's been on the bench at Eastbourne Borough. Both ex Hastings and both left backs.

Yeah for me Ollie Rowe would be ideal, that's my personel opinion and please don't think that that is any inside knowledge because it most definitely isn't.
Ross for me was out of his depth when he was with us previously however he is a left back. For me he was incapable of getting back and didn't offer much in strength. Maybe this is a better level I'm not sure.

Frankie Sawyer was at PF before I started coming to games but I understand he is held in high regard.I certainly thought is performance against us was very good.I know the likes of JJ and O'Connor but nothing of Oyinson.
I know managers have different opinions on players and various contacts but how come it has taken a change of manager to make such good ( I hope ) signings?

I think Terry White has done a great job within a week ! Good to see that '' old time favorites '' are now willing to come back. Maybe this will bring other - better - players to the Pilot Field.

It was critically important for Terry to bring in some good players quickly and not just for on the field reasons and he has pulled it off with style.

Frankie wouldn't have been cheap I'm sure so a bit of proof that the money is being provided for the right players.

That Tooting side were average with all due respect to their fans ( and it'd also what they themselves say on their forum ) so hopefully with better service he will flourish here.

Let's see some goals tomorrow now! :)

From the Tooting forum

Frankie Sawyer
I am gutted he is leaving for Hastings . To be honest I am surprised he stayed so long. Why it has taken a club until the end of January to offer him proper money to leave has surprised me. He is a real striker and they are hard to find at this level.
I think he was the best striker since Paul Vines. Better maybe.
If the figure that I have been told is correct , I don't blame Frankie. Also I could imagine in a better team that plays with wingers he could score 30 plus goals. I don't think he gets good service in our team .
Frankie thank you for all your goals and effort for half a season.
What a shame.

Re: Frankie Sawyer
I second that Gary. I am very sorry to see him go. Always committed and always wanting to score. I agree that with better service he would easily be one of the divisions top scorers.

Good luck to him at Hastings, but please do not score against us on 1st of March!

good to have Sawyer back always was a very good player and looked better in that Tooting game a few weeks ago. in 1 week excellent signings by Terry White. just 1 or 2 defenders and it will look even better. why did Maggs find it so difficult or was he not popular to bring players to club or has terry got the touch or more money?
a lot happier now
