I had a nightmare dream last night that we ended up 5th and had to play Leatherhead away in the semi ,on a pitch that made Tooting's look like Wembley ,,, woke up before the final whistle
Play-off final away at Guernsey 5th May. Like a European Final! If we can't win it outright what a great end to the season that would be. We'd have to charter a couple of extra Jets!

wow just imagine a play off final in Guernsey....what a great way to spend the remaining £120,000 fa cup money...fleet of private jets chartered from Lydd airport..........
Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, and I speak from a position of total ignorance, but wouldn't the play-offs count as cup matches, meaning Guernsey, as I understand it, have to play home games somewhere on the mainland? Probably end up at Dover, Worthing, Lewes, Eastbourne or whatever.
Cheaper, but less 'exotic'.
Also, what are the odds of Leatherhead in the playoffs now? Don't wish them any ill, but with an underwater pitch being shared with the local syncronised swimming team, do they have any realistic chance of playing all their games before the end of the season? And if not, wouldn't they forfeit the points? And face a hefty penalty, including point deductions? And if they play home matches away, or at a neutral ground, wouldn't the costs involved and loss of revenue cripple them, possibly to the point of no return? Last I read, it is at least five weeks before they can think of playing at home again, and that assumes no more rain.
I wonder whether the powers that be have actually given any consideration to Guernsey reaching the play-offs and what this would mean to the clubs involved.
Maybe the games would have to be played on the mainland anyway but, if this was not the case, the logistics for teams & supporters having to make travel and even accommodation arrangements with just a few days between the final league game/semi-final/final would be a bit of a nightmare.
We were only saying whilst over there can we foresee us coming back at the end of the season? I'm sure that Guernsey have made arrangements for the possibility and as far as I'm aware if they make the play offs then they will play their leg at home, I'm sure Powells will be able to put more light on the subject. If we do and that's no means me thinking we can't win the league, yes it's going to take a big effort but there's a long way to go and it's not unachievable, then we'd get a big crowd over there.
