After the postponed match against Redhill hopefully the team will play this match against the current nr 20 in the table.
The homeside had no luck the last 4 homegames : lost against Peachehaven 1-3 , in the FA Cup against Ebbsfleet 1-2 ( for a crowd of 742 ! ) then leading against Redhill 2-0 but stopped after 61 minutes ( Floodlight failure ) and on Dec 28th against Hythe ( crowd 251 ) 0-1.
Hopefully a lot of Hastings supporters will make the 50 miles trip to the Kent side.
Let's hope this match will go ahead so the team will have a extra ' training ' for the crucial match against Peachehaven.
Tuesdays home fixture against high flying Hastings United is subject to a noon inspection; However in our opinion it is highly unlikely that the game will go ahead due to the continuous heavy rain which has fallen over the last couple of days leaving the pitch under water in places.
The ground staff along with volunteers, although unable to get on the pitch, have spent countless hours clearing spectator standing areas that were under water.
It is important that these efforts continue as we now only have four free Tuesday’s between now and the end of the season which may mean should we lose any further games due to postponements then three games a week is likely.
This is becoming bloody ridiculous and what's the betting with the backlog of fixtures the league do nothing to help out clubs getting them played like extending the league for a week or two?
absolute joke..........too many county league pitches in this league Im afraid....I blame the environment agency...should have seen this coming...........
I know ours go deep into February and tonight's postponement will probably take it into March now. Never known anything like it.
Barrie - 1962-1963 Season went 12 weeks without a match. I was only 16 years old. I,m sure some of our older supporters will remember that winter. Snow from December to March
According to the Ryman site our game against Chipstead next Monday has been postponed because they have a Surrey Senior Cup game against Woking. Is that right ? There appears to be nothing on our site about it.

The email about this has only just come through. Tony doesn't start till around 9.30 and as he is the one who is informed of any issues such as this,I think expecting it on the website within 10 minutes of the clubs secretary knowing is a little bit unrealistic.
Once again the website master has other commitments and although I have no doubt that it will be on twitter shortly, putting a post on the website isn't quite as easy and will be done in due course.

As a supporter a little bit far away......... i can see - not only on this forum but also when pitch preparations have to be made - that there are a group of volunteers who are doing a great job. Maybe it is wrong to ask - i do not know - but more volunteers will make the work for them who are doing a great job now ( see the programmes every week ) a bit more easier.
More volunteers will benefit our club and in the end yourself.
