with Peacehaven playing today and we are not massive advantage for them i think for number reasons but if our away game is off against whitstable on tuesday then we will not have played for 2 weeks. i see some of clubs are playing each other on artifical surface to get 90 minutes for players. not heard that we have a game like that. what happens with our players today do they train or just do nothing. also if peacehaven win today they will be 8 points ahead and huge plus for them in there heads.

This now becomes a massive game next week as we are now 8 points off the pace....a win great even a draw would peg them back and give us a bit of hope.....recon plays offs are more realistic now.

Peacehaven look like they have the title atm, but nearly every season there is a team clear at Yuletide who then go on and do a Burgess Hill and f*** it up when it looks all over. Heard rumours that Peacehaven have got a moneybags backing them recently, but these chaps tend to get bored quickly, if they lose their cash (if there is any) then they could easily go into freefall. A couple of bad results for them and everything is open again.

That said, is promotion really the aim? Yes, it is nice, but let's be fair, without a few new players and some more investment, including keeping the U-21's, the chances are we would be straight back down. I would not object to a couple of seasons in this dire league IF we could see some sort of youth policy and a couple of decent players brought in to strengthen the squad, and had the glimmer of a chance of building on a promotion - ie, of escaping from the league from the top end rather than the bottom!

Must win for us, must avoid defeat for them. If our pitch drys as expected this week, they will love being able to knock the ball about, they tried and were quite successful at it in appaling conditions. Hope i am wrong but think we are playing for 2nd place now.
