Redhill played only 2 league games in December and drew 4-4 against Eastbourne and lost 3-2 against Merstham.

The number 18 of the League did not play against Leatherhead because of the waterlogged pitch.

Hope we get 3 points out of this : Redhill Football Club

In the interests of everyones safety would it not sensible to call the game off now. Heavy rain forecast tonight.

Crawley have already called their match off tomorrow so how can Redhill be on?

Is Redhill's pitch better than Crawley's I think not.

Complete madness.

Can't see how it will go ahead. Agree with you Barry. Have any Ryman games been called off yet out of interest?

I have Surrey Cross Country Championships at Denbies Vineyard 10 miles up the road, starting at 1:45, so may miss the first 30 minutes or so. Hoping both aren't postponed, although I've never known a XC be cancelled yet... ;)

Probably short of cash and desperate to get game on, see they are asking for people to turn up with forks tomorrow am.

No surprise there. They really could have inspected earlier. Travelling supporters on the trains would have to leave at the same time as the inspection !

Agree with Barry should have been called off a lot earlier.

Are you all saying that we should not have tried to get the game on for New Years day? Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.

Not quite, someone's posted a pic on twitter of their pitch, never in a million years would it have gone ahead. At least with NYD there was a fair glimmer of hope.

Simon was very pessimistic about the game going on the day before. He said that the forecast was dire and the pitch couldn't take any more rain. We waited for the match ref to call off the game, I don't see any difference. Surely all both clubs were trying to do was avoid any more lost games.

To be fair your probably right steve, just does seem frustrating having it called off at such short notice ( relatively ) but as you say every club does it including us in trying to get games on.

Any game that's called off is frustrating as you can relate to Dan having wasted time on putting the programme together in vain. It's not about loosing money it's as you and Steve said its all about getting the game on and having to rearrange fixtures.
