After the great escape against Burgess Hill John Maggs team will have to take the 3 point again at the Pilot Field to stay in one of the top positions in the League table.

Hythe Town is the current nr 11 in the League and the team scored like us 36 goals. Main striker is the 34 year old  Shaun Welford with 14 goals.

They lost at Boxing Day at home for a crowd of 824 ( ! ) against Folkestone 2-3 but won last Saturday away to Whitstable Town 0-1.

Hope for a big crowd and I wish you all a Happy New Year !

Happy New Year Bert. Folkestone v Hythe is a very local derby and usually attracts a big crowd. It's only mugs like us that get sent 70 miles on Boxing Day ! If we are going to beat Hythe, we simply must come off the blocks quicker and not have a repeat of Saturdays first half. A more clinical side would have buried us before HT

Pat more clinical sides are a rarity in Ryman South, Peacehaven really the only ones on a regular basis. Hythe will be interesting as that wet day early season was an example of our season, snatching a victory after being outplayed for 70 mins. 2 good Pogue goals late on. If game is on i expect a win and hopefully by 2 clear goals. But sadly forecast looks dire so will be lucky to play.

As you say forecast isn't great but pitch is fine today. You can see any updates via Simons twitter.

You have a point there Chris. That said, I still think that Burgess Hill would have got something from the game if they were even a teeny bit more clinical. Thank heavens that they weren't !

Shame it's off but not surprised seeing the rain pissing down outside my windows. Looks like Saturday-Monday for a while with several Tuesday nights for away games.
