After the midweek defeat against Guernsey we will see if John Maggs team take '' revenge '' and bring 3 points home against a difficult opponent.
From the last 6 games they took 9 points with 3 wins and 3 losses. Their home results are excellent; from the last 8 home games they won 7 and drew the first one. Worthing won their cup game this week away to Three Bridges with 1-2.
STATEMENT FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 28 Nov, 2013
Lee Brace this morning formally resigned as manager of Worthing Football Club which the board accepted.
Mr Brace subsequently attempted to withdraw his resignation but after careful consideration this was rejected by the board on a majority decision.
The board hope to meet with Lee Brace in the next 24 hours but as things stand he will not be in charge for the visit of Hastings this Saturday.

A club in turmoil by the sounds of it, all evolving from some stupid drunken antics on a flight.
Hopefully it will still carry on tomorrow and help the boys get 3 points.
Quick word about travel tomorrow if you are thinking of going to Worthing. Bexhill Road is a complete and utter F****** Nightmare thanks to the new M&S at Ravenside....and that's on a Friday so tomorrow will be even worse. We'll be heading West via Crowhurst !
There's always two sides to a story and I don't think we'll ever get to the bottom of it, having said that do we need to? I know that our players represented our club superbly and there wasn't any trouble at all during the whole trip. That's all we should be concerned about.
With all that's going on there I would be very disappointed if we didn't get a win tomorrow. It sounds like there is a lot of discontent within the entire club from top to bottom.
Well the Worthing forum is certainly a great read at the moment and you can't help but have sympathy with the loyal Worthing supporters. I think the guy who is calling for a full independent enquiry that is then made public has got it right. Then all the guilty parties can be exposed and expelled and the club can move on with a clear conscience.
The whole incident just highlights how players/managers come and go and it is the real long term supporters who feel the pain over such incidents because the real supporters are the only people who REALLY care. All in all a sad and shameful incident and let's hope that the guilty people are made to pay.
That said lets hope it has a major impact on their excellent home form.
Yerch - club in turmoil can have exactly the opposite effect - oldies will recall how a decimated Hastings Town rallied at the end of the Gardiner regime in 98/99 to produce some great football and would've finished runners up if we hadn't lost our last game to Merthyr Tydfil......
The turmoil and manager leaving could make the Worthing players put in a bit extra. Look at the league table, they have only lost once at home in the league. Seven wins and two draws, it won't ne easy.
Fantastic result with Mr McCreadie beginning to look a great signing.
One regret.....what an unbelievably bad day for the car to play up.....suppose it could have been worse ......I could be stuck in Worthing now waiting for a tow home.
McCreadie was fantastic, extremely brave to score his second as it looked he had almost knocked himself out on the post scoring it but he got up and could have had a third.
Not a bad performance throughout really against a decent side with a point to prove just a shame we conceded those two goals after being 2-0 up.
Not sure how Hare was so high up the pitch for the winner but glad he was!
Really enjoyed today's performance and apart from a dodgy 10 mins in the 2nd half, when we fell asleep down the left hand side yet again, we thoroughly deserved the win and in McCreadie, had the outstanding player on the pitch. He terrorized the Worthing defence from beginning to end and deservedly scored 2, the 2nd being as brave as you will ever see. All this ably assisted by the outstanding Pogue, who had his best performance in a Hastings shirt. A lot of people commented on how well they played together previously, although I was not quiet as excited against the mediocre Westfield and Eastbourne, but today they looked the real deal and were fantastic together. Was also very impressed with Pachecho down the left and Sammy certainly gives us a little more solidity down the right than the missing Bailo. Jury still out on Dolan and left back is still a major issue but all in all a very pleasing performance and result, in front of what seemed like 60-70 Hastings supporters. Good day!
Yeah I totally agree John, I know I've said it before but McCreadie and Kenny really have an understanding even at this early stage in the partnership. I really do believe that McCreadie is probably the best striker I've seen at his age, he has it all, strength, awareness, courage and speed we really need to keep hold of him. There was one move late in the second half where those of us behind the goal witnessed his vision, the centre half was coming across to meet his run and he headed the ball back from where the defender was coming from, if it wasn't for the ball catching the defender he would of added to his tally.
Sammy was solid on the right and created chances for the front two. Great to see Josh Hare get his first for the club but I do agree I think their first goal highlited the weakness at left full back. Apart from that a good performance where all players put a shift in. Top of the league and rightly so. 40 points already dare I say could be 50 by the turn of the year?
Funny to see on the Worthing forum a comment from one poster that we played over the top football! McReadie got his two goals from crosses and Josh followed the attack into the area and scored. Neither side played over the top football from what I recall.
Wouldn't take much notice of that poster Baz. If you look back on the Jamie Crellin and Guernsey threads you will see the blokes a complete idiot who's disliked by his own supporters. Reminds me of someone along the coast!
Great result at Worthing where apart from a crazy 10 minutes when the home side showed they can play too - and got two in four minutes to get back to 2-2, United were by far the better side and looked threatening everytime they came forward with the KP/McCreadie combination looking better and better as the game went on.
Trevor's second was as brave an effort on goal as you will see - and there were real concerns for him after he wrapped himself round a post after putting away KP's cross. But he sorted himself out and as in the Eastbourne Town game the previous weekend was unlucky not to complete a hat trick.
Good, good result which banished the depression of Wednesday's defeat in Guernsey who, themselves, got a battering at Walton and Hersham. Don't suppose they went running up to their camera crews at the final whistle after getting stuffed 4-0!
Just hope we can hang onto Trevor - one top prospect.
Quite liked their ground too actually, cover on 4 sides and a mini version of our grass bank, nice stand too and very close to the pitch, very cold though!
I didn't think Dolan had the best of games yesterday I'm just wondering what Matt Darby has done to be dropped as I think for most of the games this season he has been the best or 1 of the best in games he has played just don't understand why John has dropped him!!!!
I think its fair to say that Matt hasn't hit the sort of form he did prior to falling ill however I don't believe Dolan has fulfilled the promise that Hythe fans ranted and raved about either, He did though have in my opinion his best game for us yesterday so maybe he's beginning to hit a bit of better form?

Agree that Matt was quite possibly our best player for the first couple of months of the season but unfortunately he had a pretty bad illness that kept him out for a couple of games and he has struggled to regain his form since that enforced absence. I think Ronnie Dolan will need to pick up his performances fairly soon before both Matt and Danny Ellis are breathing down his neck. What i will say though is I don't think can ever remember such a strong bench as yesterday. Ellis, Darby, Woodley and Slocombe, with Vickers and Camara to come. The squad is looking pretty decent now.
Darbs did have a drop in form after he was ill for a few games if you remember ( understandable ) and Dolan certainly seemed to be a highly recommended player when he signed so seemed logical to start him.
Dolan hasn't really stood out yet but he's only just arrived and IMO deserves a longer run of starts to settle in first before we can really judge him.
Pacheco looked good at LW but by playing there that still leaves us short of a natural left footed defender which is probably the last price needed as other have said. ( albeit one more striker would be handy too )
All in all though the team is really starting to gel and assuming they stay fit the Pogue & McCreadie partnership looks a great fit.
