On their website: Eastbourne United AFC are through to the last 64 of the FA Vase after a 3-2 victory at Chessington & Hook United of the Combined Counties League
Shaun Loft was absent for the clash as he served the final match of a three match ban after being sent off in the previous round, but there was a debut for Jamie Crellin after signing from Worthing.
Dual reg can only work if Worthing haven't released his registration unless they have and the signing is intended only as a shirt term arrangement by both parties and Eastbourne also release his registration when his job is done there?
I think that he has been released, I think Liam may have got a bit confused. Having played for Eastbourne Crells has obviously played for them, when he said he was doing them a favour I think, reading between the lines, Jamie is looking for a higher standard to play at. I can't blame him because he had a good if not short period at Worthing.
Jamie Crone scores a hat-trick for Bexhill AAC 2nds, East Sussex Lge Div 4!! What is it with our ex players struggling this season? Seems only Bradley and Jack have kicked on from last season. Good move for Crells by the way.
Zacs done pretty well at Margate / Maidstone to be fair as well mate, Also Elliott Cox and Dee have been regulars at Margate and Kingstonian respectively. Didnt realise that Gary Abbott was assistant manager at Kingstonian too, interesting with Razor going there after Gary left us last season!
Lee Carey was playing for Little Common Tuesday night, must have signed for them and not Bexhill.
No sign of Crone though, wonder what's happened to him? I see he's also been playing for Bexhill AAC 1st and 2nd teams, wonder if I'll come up against him...
lee carey too big for ryman south ha what a joke hes playing county two, and crone I imagine his stupidity to maggs that maggs has put a stop to him playing any decent level, shame really wasted talent.
Anyone who knows me will remember that I was a big fan of Lee. I thought that even when he wasn't playing well he never hid and that is something a lot of players don't do. He really pissed me off with his statement about being too good for Ryman South as I think as captain he should have accepted some responsibility for our relegation and stayed on to help put things right. I'm not crowing about where he is plying his trade at the moment as I think he is a nice lad and sometimes these sort of comments are said without thinking or with any regard for the future. I would welcome Lee back to the PF as long as he made a commitment to stay a see the job through. If he could get back to the levels he showed earlier in his Hastings career he would be an asset to the club. Humble pie is not nice but it could help restart his football career.
I've always been a Lee Carey fan but I have to say that I think he would struggle to be selected with the side we have at the moment. I think we are a left back away from being the complete package
Anyone know where Matt Armstrong-Ford and Matt Whitehead are playing and assuming they have both recovered from their injuries. Good to see Bradley doing so well for Bromley and hope he gets chance with Dagenham.
I'm fine thanks Rev, not seen you at an away game for a while, where you been? After Kenny's viscous, violent and totally unprovoked attack on poor, defenseless Chris B at Corinthian I thought I would calm down just in case Lee came looking for me.
Joking aside I can't help feel a little sorry for him. After his heroics against Harrogate, when he scored 2 penalties, to now be playing County 2, is as big a fall of grace as you are ever likely to see. I was never his biggest fan and he should never have been our captain last season but he always tried hard and he's certainly better than County 2 unless he has totally lost all form and confidence, which is possible with the amount of clubs he has played for this season.
Just funny that he he turned his back on the club after saying he's too good for Ryman south to now be playing county football, karma really is a bitch haha

Work has demanded otherwise John, but in the new year should be OK to get the car out and hopefully get to the odd away game, Starting to really enjoy what I`m seeing, everything is starting to gel together quite nicely

Interesting to see this from Maggs as well. How come all these players weren't calling him when he was at Hastings?
Maggs, the former manager and chief executive of Crawley Town told the West Sussex Gazette: “I will decide after meeting with chairman Brian Suckling this weekend.
“We need to sit down, have a chat and come to a conclusion.
“Brian will tell me what his hopes will be for next season. If his aims are to get promotion back into the Ryman then I will stay on.
“I’ve got lots of players phoning me up and it’s a case of wait and see.”
Maggs revealed his last ditch attempt to keep the free-falling Anvils would have taken a miracle to achieve.
He said: “When I arrived at Crawley Down it was beyond repair. I had 24 hours to bring new players in before the deadline.
“When we won against Walton I thought we had a chance. But then we picked up injuries and couldn’t field our strong side.
“We were definitely a better unit but we couldn’t get any more wins.”
Even 'if' there are players desperately ringing him I doubt that players who are desperate to play County League at Crawley Down would have been any good to us anyway.
Players of the right quality didn't really arrive until we got Frankie and Taser etc after Terry took over. The arrivals of Razor, Cook and Ade all should have happened early last season ideally.
Also, as its between seasons, virtually every one is free at the moment and looking for clubs. Doubt Mags had any phone calls at all mid season when he was with us.
