Looking through the Fixtures I see we haven't got a game on Saturday 14th December, Is this a computer error or a misprint or is it just the way the fixtures came out this season.
It does seem strange but its correct at this moment, knowing the way the fixtures have been changed already this season I would think that there may well be a rescheduled fixture put in there. Any league game that's postponed has to be rescheduled within 6 weeks of the original date.
This was the original date for the Away Match at Walton Casuals which was brought forward and has been played already, so a blank Saturday at the moment.
Not sure what the problem is with people discussing ideas on a forum Chris. Certainly no need to get all head master like ! It's always a good idea to get fixtures in early if possible as generally there is a pile up around December and January. We now have a spare slot that may/ may not need to be filled but it's good to have a head start.
I agree Pat, but you can't pick and choose them to suit you. The only possible date it could have realistically happened with Guernsey was next Saturday, and we had to rearrange before that time. It is not likely that the 14th is going to be filled, unless there is some strange fixture shuffling. Everyone can book this day for Xmas shopping.
As Pat has said it was just a idea, granted, not one that was going to be realistic but one that would of given those who can't make the midweek game ( and there's certainly a fair few of those) an opportunity of going on a weekend. I don't see why you have to get slightly abusive towards people's ideas? You always seem to treat people's comments that you don't see exactly the same way as you as if they're pathetic. The simple solution is if you don't like a persons post and you can't keep your comments from being abusive either don't post or don't come on here.
but you said because of 6 week rule. all other teams will be playing on 14th apart from us and Walton as the game was bought forward so as Chris says it will remain blank unless a cup game is arranged as its FA Trophy 2nd Round day, maybe it was an omen?
Guernsey don't have a game that day either Peter, Dave was saying that because of this it would of been good if the fixture could of been rescheduled for that day.
Guernsey are away at our dear friends Horsham that day Lenny. Us and Walton are only teams with no game as it was brought forward when we went out of fa cup.

Sorry Peter I was looking at something entirely different.
Either way, it was pure conjecture on my part. Can't believe we are still on the topic. Ironically I would nt have been able to go to an away game that weekend, but I am seriously considering going midweek!
