I see Jamie Crone was on the teamsheet playing for Lewes tonight In the Ryman League Cup along with Tom Vickers, I thought he was playing for Little Common, unless there is another Jamie Crone out there!
Come on Stevie he didn't give the club any option! He was warned about posting on here yet he continued then to publicly critise Maggsy on here was the final straw. If it had been left then you'd be leaving a whole big can of worms. I've got a lad who prior to going to Uni a couple of weeks ago played for the club and he couldn't believe what he'd done and he's the same age. It's not rocket science is it?
Jamie Crone
Date of Birth 30/7/94
Debut 10/8/13 v Chipstead
2013/14 Appearances 9 Goals 2
Yellow Cards 3 Red Cards 0
Career Appearances 9 Goals 2
Highly rated young striker, who joined the U's from County League neighbours Little Common ahead of the 2013/14 season. Released by the Club in September 2013, returning to his former club.
I can't believe this !
So HUFCNo1 is Jamie Crone ?
For a player to write on here is hardly the brightest thing to do....but to then criticise the manager is utter madness.
Can't see him lasting long with Lewes....Little Common is his right level.
Jamie has got a new email address as his old one was hacked this account was made on his old email address I dont believe it was him not that kind of person
That may well be the case and if true why didn't he say that when he realised his email had been hacked? I'm not aware of him telling anyone on here of that situation and if he had something could of been done. Either way it's not going to change anything is it? The situation is he's now playing for Lewes, even if it is on trial he still needs to sign Ryman forms so now is a Lewes player.
Bit of a coincidence that a hacker gets jamies email address, and that person then posts on this site, yes it could be someone who knows him well but unlikely to be a hacker. But realistically it is likely to be Jamie, so you might not know him as well as you think.
anyone with a bit of knowledge will know how easy it is to get into someones email with the starting address but why bother trying to stitch someone up that's very petty and as lenny says hes been released from the club and has moved on, so as far as im concerned hes a silly boy that is history with hastings.whether it was him or not the damage has been done so hes not welcome in the team whether we want him or not.end of story.

Sindy, i think it is important if he did it or not. I don't like that someone gets the blame for not doing that. But like you said the damage has been done already for all involved.
Lets try and draw a line under this before everyone comes up with there own conclusions.
Everyone on this forum is able to have their own opinion. If they don't like John Maggs, Dave Walters, Sean Ray or even myself, everyone is entitled to state their opinion as long as it does not cross the line and become a personal attack, involves obvious lies or unsuitable language is used.
Once HUFC No1 started saying that John Maggs was destroying the club and that players did not want to play for him, we did not remove the posts, but as moderators, checked the email address to ensure we were not going down the same road as we did with the infamous JEZ last season. Once the email address was noted, we decided to keep an eye on future posts, not just to protect the club but also to protect a promising, young footballer, should it be him, who was possibly angry at not being played, especially as he was a regular starter under Terry and Mark. Over the next few weeks posts from HUFC No1 were predominantly about how fantastic Jamie Crone was playing in the limited time he had on the pitch and comments on why he was being played out of position by the new management. No other players were mentioned.
Once he was released to Little Common the anger towards John Maggs was reignited and questions were raised again about the players not wanting to play for him. HUFC No1 then posted that Jamie was MOM in his 1st game for Little Common vs Eastbourne Town and that McCbride, a possible replacement for him at Hastings, was very poor. No other comments were made about other players. We then had Mark Stapley leave the club, which once again reignited some anger towards the new management. I then decided to send HUFC No1 a private message as many other posters had already put 2 and 2 together without any prompting from me or others and a lot of questions were being asked.
The main content of that message shall rightly remain private but the reply was, " I have to admit, Jamie doesn't know me but I know him and I have friends that know him, that's how I got his email address. Jamie doesn't use this email account so it has been given to me and I have changed the password so it is now mine". Now I'm no computer wizz kid but that reply really doesn't make a lot of sense to me, so i gave him the opportunity to come and introduce himself to me at the next home game, as he said he went to the home games, where I promised I would do all I can to help and dispel the rumors, but he ever did. In the meantime the rumors had reached fever pitch and Jamie was released by Hastings. If he was nothing to do this, he would have the strongest ever case for unfair dismissal!
So draw your own conclusions. Perhaps Jamie is telling the truth. If so how sad that someone has put an end to a promising Hastings career. Or perhaps he has lied and got himself in a corner he could not get out off. We were all young once and have all done and said things we regret, it all about how we learn from it and ensure you come back stronger. But to be totally honest, all rumors would stop here and now and a young career can start to re build if a certain David Nicholls, who claimed to be using the email address came forward and made it clear to all and sundry that it was indeed him and not a fictional name.
Yes come forward Mr Nicholls if you are real. Doubt he will though so probably time to move on anyway. Regardless of my opinion or anyone else's- life has to go on. Jamie will know David so let them sort it out amongst themselves. This will either mean two chaps having a bit of an argument or one chap giving himself a right good talking to in a Monty Python kind of way. Who knows? Wish him well and move on
A good forum is about different opinions, healthy debates, and yer, the odd full blooded argument, I think a lot of thanks should go to Johnw for helping to rout out a very unsavoury element on this forum, and as Pat says time to move on...............
