Not overly enthused by the news in today's Observer that we are looking at Eastbourne Utd's Ryan Mcbride to solve our striking issues this season. Is a less than prolific striker from County 2 really going to solve our problems?. To be fair I don't know much about him but what I do know is that high flying Eastbourne have scored 29 goals in 8 league and cup games this season of which he has scored 4. Hardly the prolific goalscorer we all yearn.
As for the un-named player in the paper, if it's who I was told on Saturday, and we manage to sign him, it will be a terrific signing for us.
Agree John that on paper he doesnt seem to fit the bill, however at this stage we have to trust John Maggs that this guy will be usefull to us, with Johns reputation and contacts there must be a reason he decided to go for him.
Also agree if the un-named player is either one of the two names ive heard then i'll be over the moon too!
