Lost 7-6 in extra timno not one of your classic cup ties and a bit disappointing that the U's lost to in my opinion an inferior side. if the way their managers behaved on the side lines I fear for their future. Youth football is about developing players, showing them the right way to play and behave, they certainly didn't show that at all.

Never been so dissapointed to lose in my life, we should have had the game seen up before extra time, but like any side that is not as good ability they battle till the end and got their goals, but to lead 6 times in a mat h and lose is really hard to take. I know the boys feel the same.

Regarding their bench, their only interest was winning and then rubbing it in our faces, it's not the way to go about it but each to their own I suppose, give me one of the under 18s progressing to the first team over winning any day of the week that's what we are their to do produce players for the front side, it's nice to win but you have to keep your eye on the ultimate outcome.

We shall go again Sunday 11am kick off at home to newhaven in the county cup and try to put right some of our mistakes that as a whole we made last night .

As Pett said they were just interested in the win not how they played the game or their attitude, sounds like sour grapes I know but in all honesty I'd be embarrassed if my son played for them.

13 goals in this game due mainly to some pretty awful defending from both sides.  In front on four occasions and still managed to throw it away.  Lets hope there's a marked improvement on Sunday.
