Had the opportunity to get a very convincing win today and if it wasn't for their keeper I think it would of been just that, He definitely kept them in it that's for sure that save he made from The corner ( I think it was Sammy who headed it goalwards) was superb. Kenny should of done better to make the game comfortable with the one on one but he certainly is showing a signs of improvement. I think the fact that Ramsgates manager keeping his squad on the pitch for half hour after the game was a sign that he wasn't happy, I thought they were much better last week, this week I felt they didn't offer much of a threat.
Once again Ben and Irish had a superb game. Judgey makes it look so easy with the way he plays.

Really enjoyed today's game. Both teams played with plenty of endeavour and it made for a really entertaining match.
I actually thought it was the best I have seen us play... We restricted them to a handful of chances and made plenty of our own.
Sam was my MotM...not because he scored (Sky always annoy me by giving it to the goal scorer) but because he worked his socks off for 90 minutes.
I definitely want to see more of this Tom o'Connor...I think he looks like he can play a bit and can pick out passes better than any of our existing midfield.
On the minus side, Tim looks unfit to me and seems to be lacking pace, even in this league and Jamie Crone does not contribute any where near enough for me. Kenny of course is the ultimate enigma.....bottom line is I would always start with him on the bench...number 12 is definitely his most effective position. Great news about Razor...a defence of Kelly, Judge, Ray and Richardson may give some forwards sleepless nights.
I reckon we need another bit of quality in midfield and a quality striker and we're set for the season.
PS Jack Dixon scored AGAIN today for Lewes...what's going on...he hardly ever scored for us ( Sorry to mention this, Windy !)

Seems to be playing with a new lease of life, I'm pleased for Jack, obviously gelling better with the players he's playing with now, often happens look at Tores for example and how long it took him to score Chelsea?

Back to the original point (I'm with Windy, couldn't give a **** about what's happening at Lewes) I agree with Mick, was a good game and Sam Adams was excellent. Also like Mick, I was impressed with the passing invention of Tom O'Connor. Feeling a great deal more optimistic about the season than I was a month ago.

Maggs praised Sam Adams extremely highly in the forum afterwards, really seemed over the moon about him and seemed to indicate that he saw him as a striker up top. Thought but for their goalkeeper and a bit of over elaboration we could have had 2-3 goals

That was much more like it today. Apart from a couple decent chances from Ramsgate I thought we dominated the game with the only disappointment being we didn't kill the game off with all the chances we had. May not be so lucky against better opposition, if there are any better in this poor league, but for me our best performance of the season by far.

Thought Sammy and Danny were different class today and Matt Darby has already proved that he is far superior to Lee Carey. Hardly gave the ball away today. Ben and Irish were fantastic again but still not sure about the two full backs. I actually felt that was Timmy's best game by far today but certainly needs to get a bit fitter. As for Ramsgate, if John Maggs wants to get a decent player in and he's willing to travel I would love to see their no 7 down at the Pilot Field. Thought he was fantastic in both games.

So a great start for John and looking forward to a tough game at play off final losers Faversham next week.

Enjoyable game at the Pilot Field and a good team performance from Hastings. Ramsgate had a lot of possession but never looked to have the quality to score. Better sides might not be so accommodating in the future. However,it is encouraging watching a new Hastings team developing as the season progresses. If Guernsey have the same squad that played at Rye last season it will be a very entertaining cup tie!

Have to agree with your point about Matt Darby I feel a far better player than lee Carey he seems to pick passes out to get chances and he passed it for Pogue to cross for sammy to score and he can score goals too!!!!

Agree with much of the above; but I would also add that I thought Jono Richardson played well yesterday as he also did on Monday (where he contributed to two of our goals). Before the season, I had doubts about him playing other than as a centre back; but I thought that over these last two games he did not look out of place at left back. Now that Sean is back with us, and we consequently have three centre backs as well as Jono, it is important for Jono and the team that his ability to play in other positions is acknowledged.
