After the 3 points we play on Monday against Walton Casulas who won their first game 5-3 against Faversham with Traynor and French both 2 goals scored for the home club.

Do we have to keep our line-up the same or do we have to bring someone else in?

Ellis was banned, Eduisi was injured I assume from the knock suffered against Crowborough. Not sure when Jonos back

Agree on Bailo and Jamie. Just so much more mobile than Pogue and Woodley and caused so many more problems yesterday.

Ellis is back for the trip to Burgess Hill and would expect to see him straight back in unless of course we have won 3 out of 3. Most would suggest he automatically comes in for Darby but he was very good yesterday whereas Sam Adams surprisingly had a very poor game so plenty to play for in the midfield areas.

Jono, quite incredibly, is away in America. Why and who allowed that at the beginning of a new season?

There is no contract, so he can do what he wants, not a question of being allowed.

I Don't think tomorrows home match against walton casuals will be anything but easy.
They have got ex Kingstonian assistant manager Mark Hams as their manager now and as BertNEC says they have got ex Kingstonian striker Bobby Traynor and ex Dulwich Hamlet striker Connor French both who scored 2 Goals each yesterday against faversham after going 0-2 down, with Bobby Traynor also missing a penalty.
So I think we could be in for a very hard game Tomorrow!

Faversham only had 10 for most of the game due to a sending off and they were 2-0 up at the time.

Not forgetting that Walton Casuals came from 2-0 down to be at 2-2 at half time - think they finished in the bottom of the Ryman South last season though.

Maybe I should stay in America if it means that we can get the points every game. Nice to dream so I guess I'll see you lot on Saturday.
Well done to the lads, we should keep Terry and Mark in charge aa this is the best start for years.

Great effort and application from all the players with Ben Judge the best player on the pitch. Hope Jordan not badly injured at the end. Well done to Terry and Mark and a goodly number of ex-players and managers present.

Ben judge has been outstanding in both games. Too good for this division. Again we were 1-0 up after an atrocious first half. Much better second half for no reward.

Another great team performance some outstanding performances tonight including Sammy Adams who works his socks off and also I thought Jamie Crone had a good game as well as timmo O but for me IMO I felt little Matt Darby had a blinder not scared to put himself in there and the black eye after the game shows that such a good prospect I hope the season keeps going like this as we may reach 600 supports for a weekend game.

Also great see see Terry white still passionate from the 1st minute never stopped encouraging the players and helping them which was great to see I hope personally he gets the managers job as I feel he's well respected by the team!!!! Also great speaking to Danny Ellis who predicted Jordan would last 3 minutes before he even went on so h was close!!!!

Here's to Saturday 3pm

Decent performance, aside from the first 25 mins we generally controlled the story if the game, need to try to get more of the chances put away as we can't rely on the defence to keep so solid for every game especially with Henson and Gilbert both out if position.

Judge and Kelly look a handy 'little and large' defensive duo with Sean attacking high balls and Judge using his experience to cover impeccably.

Jamie Crone did very well out wide and had the beating of their left back all game, looks more effective their than up front where maybe a more physical presence is required.

Talking of which Kenny Pogue was exceptional up front and ran his socks off and worked so hard, unlucky not to score at least once which would have capped his performance, defiantly my MOM just for his ability to not give the Walton defence a moments rest!

Sam, Tim and Matt all worked hard in CM and generally kept it tight. Thought Matt Maclean was quiet but it's always possible that he will pop up with a goal so that's just something that happens occasionally.

Josh in goal did everything he had to do well enough and the two clean sheets will give him confidence

Marks programme comment ( hope programme was ok by the way, Liam and mines first ever attempt and we know there are a few things to sort for next one but hopefully an ok read! ) seemed to indicate that they know that a new manager will be coming in but as someone else said at least theirs no rush and we can take the time to pick the right person knowing that the team look ok In the meantime.

Certainly a better performance than Saturday from the lads but quite apparent the massive gulf between Ryman South and Premier from the first 2 games.

Thought Gilbert and Kelly were great again and Ben Judge is just a giant at the back and looks in great form. Like others, also impressed with Crone and well done to Kenny. Yes he gets caught offside too much and a top striker would of buried a couple of those headers, but no one can doubt his commitment and effort and I though he was fantastic 2nd half and caused them real problems.

I now expect us to collect 9 out of 9 at home to Redhill on Saturday but please Mr Walters, build on this start. We need 3 or 4 new signings to add to what we have got then we can start dreaming again of pushing for promotion

Think the most significant thing about last night was we looked like a team, last year in league games we didn't. To use such words as great is not really accurate, we were adequate but couldn't have argued if it had been a draw. We desperately need a goal scorer as we wont get away with missing chances like we did yesterday every game. And WC flushed away a few chances too. OK start but still well short of quality.

I know you mentioned earlier Chris that they are not on contract so can do what they like, but I am amazed that after 7 weeks off, players such as Bailo and Jono are taking holiday's 1st week of the season. Contract or no contract that cannot be right and unless special circumstances does not show the right application and commitment to the club, in my opinion.

Hard working performance, not massive quality from either side but we were very organised and looked fit. As mentioned previously the difference from Ryman South to Premier is massive.

I thought Kelly and Judge at the heart of the defence were excellent, but the pleasing thing for me was that every played for each other. You get that every week you're half way there!

Very pleased with the start, 2 wins and 2 clean sheets.

Great performance last night I thought, thought Kenny up top was great for us. Some top individual performances, but all round the team fought well. The defending was great at times. Thinking keeping hold of Ben Judge is key for this season. They had a few corners and breaks, maybe a Ryman Premier side might have been more clinical, but we tookour chance. 2 hard fought wins and a 5 day break before Redhill.

Also great attendance as expected for a Monday night, nearly 500. As I left the ground I thought it's not often I think this as I'm leaving, but my club is top of the league biggrin

Also why look for a new manager at the moment? Maybe for now Mark and Terry are doing the job required

Agreed, Kelly and judge at the back looked solid all game, and although it's not his preferred position Gilbert looked very good at right back with crone infront of him, Adams worked hard for the tins and pogue looked much better than Saturday. All together it's a good start to the season

A good performance last night - not sure we need 3 or 4 more signings as we already have
Ellis, Richardson, Camara, Edusei and Rob Kember to add to the squad.

Good to get maximum points but I don't think Chipstead and Walton will be troubling too many sides this season. As Sean said, we are probably only a couple of players away from being a decent side so hope Terry and Mark are still searching.

I actually thought  that, taking the game as a whole, we just about deserved our one goal victory. It didn't look very likely after half an hour in which, I felt, they looked much the better of the two sides with their stocky number 10 causing all sorts of problems. However once we scored the game became a lot more even and I think we created significantly better chances than our opponents after that.

Excellent work rate from all the players but Judge and Kelly were the two I would pick out for special mention.  Obviously far too early to judge our strength relative to others so I'm not getting carried away but plenty of encouraging signs for a better season than many had feared.  I think we'll certainly need a bit more quality up front and maybe another 'creator' in midfield to compete with the best sides in this league though I thought Walton were pretty decent and could see how they scored some goals on Saturday. Time will tell of course.

Remarkable turnout for an evening game....surely we can't top 500 on Saturday can we ?

Is it because we are "title favourites" that we are seen as a scalp? Both chipstead and Walton came at us very strongly early on but couldn't maintain it. Good to get six points but I think last years team would have put a hatfull past both of them.

Really, last years team could well have lost, although better players, their attitude stank and in many league games went through the motions.

What an entertaining game, with more games like this I don't think I want promotion back to the Ryman Premierbiggrin

After we scored there was no turning back and the commitment from all the players as a team was excellent.

What a difference in class between Ryman Premier and Ryman South, Walton were continually being bundled off the ball and lost possession easily, where last season if the opposition had the ball they held on to it.

We still need a striker as scoring only one goal  isn't always enough as we had chances and could of had 2 or 3 goals which would of made the game more comfortable and put the game to bed earlier. With only 1-0 the opposition have always got a chance of getting back into it.

Someone previously said last seasons team would have would have won by a bigger margin, but I don't agree as I am with ChrisB on this one and we could have easily lost it with them, as a lot of last seasons players were Ineffective and didn't always play together as a team. We drew far too many matches that we couldn't seem to turn into wins.

Lets hope for more of the same on Saturday!

After the two TEAM performances, Saturday and Monday there is no reason why we can't make it 9 points out of 9. I said before I thought it should have been the starting line up from Saturday but Monday night proved me wrong. Crone coming in for woodley was a good call. I didn't think waltons left back knew what to do every time crone got the ball. I also don't believe we need any more players seeing as we still have, Danny, edueusi, bailo and rob to come into the squad

Cant believe people are still coming on here saying we don't need any more players. We must get in a new striker as an absolute minimum. People seem to be split over whether Kenny Pogue is good enough or not but whatever side your on, what happens if he gets injured? Bailo has never been an out and out striker and likes to play out wide and with regards to Jamie it would be unfair to rely on an 18 year old rookie to lead the line. Sam and Matt are neither quicker enough or stronger enough to play up on their own, and in any case, are doing an excellent job in midfield.

We have made an excellent start, and our young team are doing great, but lets build on that and not believe we are all of a sudden one of the strongest squads in the league.

yes a couple more players are probably needed to keep the squad strong, with Sean going a CB is a priority even ahead of a striker at the mo!

totally agree dan a cb is priority at the moment, then we might not need to play defensive all the time, I mean although Jamie done a great job against Walton and as well as the whole team worked his socks off I would rather see him attacking and running at defenders than defend as he clearly is not a defender no disprepect to him, but if we had a stronger defence and midfield I believe our attacking players going forward will rip defences apart especially bailo and crone who have pace and will win a lot of free=kicks and penalties as well score themselves but the spine of the team is the most important structure of any team starting at the back.also 100% behind john we need a good big target man up front for the strikers to work off. crone and pogue are not aerial players but do contribute in all other aspects imo.

Maybe your right, maybe we do need a few additions to the squad, but is it fair on those who have done well so far to just get thrown out if the mix because a bigger name in Ryman football comes along?

Normally it works that way. But on the other end i think we must give a lot of credit to the players and staff who got the 6 points !
