What Shonky lacks in pace he makes up for with a good eye for a pass, he'll create goals this season but remember he's still just 19, when he matures he will be a real threat.

A few good performances again last night. Thought again that Jordan Woodley looks better and better. – he was a handful all evening. We still lacked a cutting edge up front and even though we were a good match for them in the first half, we had few shots on target to our name. Second half and after a few substitutions I thought Eastbourne were clearly on top and our defence looked more and more fragile as Eastbourne piled on the pressure, and we did very well to reduce them to the one goal. We did have a few chances though – Woodley hitting the far post with a sublime curling shot from 20 yards being the pick. More to be played and more to see I guess. I still like the LB Edeusi. Think he may be a quality replacement for Elliot. Time will tell.
The player profiles will go back up once its clear who is who. The webmaster is on holiday at the moment but I'm sure he will have it in hand.
Back at the game - at the risk of being lambasted for being "happy clappy" - there were a lot of positives for me last night. The big cloud though is whether we will be a threat in front of goal. Time will tell. Shonk does look a decent prospect, but i think we need an experienced striker in there alongside Bailo/Sam just whilst Shonk finds his feet.
Disappointed for Crone last night as we only saw 15 minutes of him - possibly injury still playing up?

Thought youd have been playing cricket last night Chris
Agree about discipline - incredibly i didnt see the tackle as i was checking something on the PA system, - one of those moments when you look away for a second and then when you look back its all kicking off! - but heard it was a shocker - certainly by the reaction immediately after !

I agree there, Pat. A good performance from all last night, much different to Brighton and Westfield which were, quite frankly, abysmal. But I think we're starting to build a good little squad now. The only worry I have, if I'm going to be picky is Jack Shonk - he really lacks pace up front. Other than that, the performance was good from everyone. Jordan Woodley has been playing well for us and when he hit the post yesterday, I'm hoping that gave him a confidence boost - he just needs to sort out his temprement and then he has real potential. I think we'll have a strong defense too, next season. Having Edusi at left back and Judge and Ray when he's back from suspension in the middle and perhaps Jono Richardson at right back.
Good performance last night and hoping for the same on Saturday against the Gillingham XI!
I thought it was ok, plenty of positives, Woodley will be a handful, the full back looked good, and we looked balanced until all the substitutions. Downside the Tim Olarunda tackle which was a disgrace for any match let alone a friendly, don't know if Sean was going to bring him off anyway, but it was an essential substitution.
The tackle bordered on assault.
We have got to improve our discipline, or suspensions will again be costly.
