And midweek night now monday. will need to find an exuse to miss midweek games now as Pool League and Champions League wont apply. pleased with that just hope it worth watching and ont need to wash my hair on mondays
Not saying I agree with it windy but I suppose the point is not to attract the real fans who as you say would be there anyway but the ones who may give it a go but are distracted by the bloody Champions League etc on tues / weds.
Whether it will make any real difference either way I have no idea, can only try I suppose if it has worked for other clubs.
Hopefully if it is obvious it isn't working it can be changed back later in the season.
Anyone who knows me will vouch that I always try to keep more than half a glass full but I’m not exactly brimming with excitement at the prospect of some of these away trips.
As for Guernsey – just one question – why would you??
Pat doesn't like flying. I hear he's buying a 4 man dinghy and planning on rowing there, fist come first served with the spare seats but must be willing to share with the rowing duties!
appreciate its a one off experience Dan, but another expensive one! - I cant be the only supporter that cant justify the expense? Not really sure which ones I am actually looking forward to. I like Tooting and Folkestone and my friends team is Sittingbourne, so that one too - just underwhelmed I guess. It will be alright come first day when I get my sat nav going I expect!
Am I the only one who thinks playing 'midweek ' on a Monday is good ? It's a crap idea ....try dropping the admission fees if you want bigger crowds. A lot of you know me and you know I pay the full whack, always will (well at least for the next 13 years ) and never moan but honestly, Do you really think changing to a Monday will bring in the crowds ? No chance !!!! The real fans still turn out on Champions league nights anyway .Tuesday night is the only good midweek night .Rant over !!!!
Its all about not treating the Guernsey game as just a match Pat but building a weekend around it like a European away match but imagine its been a long time time since Leeds were in one of those so can forgive you for not remembering what their like! :)
Calm down Windy take wasabi nuts....I hear they're good for stress.
Lenny your nut advisor for all your nut requests call me on 0800 GONUTS
He he ! i know mate but stuff like that makes me go nuts.....stop messing with tradition !!! It's like when the FA decided that the FA cup final wasn't going to be the last game of the season ...thank god they've seen sense and are going back to the old style season finally ! Just my opinion anyway , for its worth
I was wondering what Simon thought - two days is not a lot of time for a pitch to recover, especially if its wet. (i'm no expert!)
Having 3 teams this season Dave the pitch is once again going to be under immense pressure this wathief the youth side are away then the pitch should in theory get 4 clear days rest before the next game, ok it wot always be like that but it will certainly give the pitch more rest than it got in the later part of last season.
