Has there been any news on players and staff?? Think a change has been made in the management team, no official statement from the club though!

I'm not sure if that's a done deal yet Liam. I'm sure it will be announced soon enough when it happens.

If Terry White has replaced him that will be a massive coup IMO hope it is a done deal I like terry white as a person and he is a local lad with passion lets hope his passion as a coach matches his passion on the pitch!!!

Terry White would be a great appointment in my opinion as a replacement for iPad.
If anyone would care to trawl back at the time of Langton's appointment you would see I was dead against it and it wouldn't work. Thamesmead and Herne Bay didn't exactly do badly after he departed, same can't to be said of his performance with us and Horsham. If anyone wants a laugh just look in his "****ter" page. I have never known someone to self promote themselves so much as this guy. Ryman Premier has been the highest he has been involved at yet no "thankyou for the opportunity" etc just moaning and excuses. "Not that I did that much coaching!" was one....players attendance another (I wonder why players didnt turn up?), using 1/3 of the pitch etc. Well we got to the FAC 3rd Round before you came and what exactly did you do apart from PowerPoints? I feel sorry for the next club that he sells himself too, but hey he will be fine as he talks a good game, and has the much talked about coaching qualifications. Interestingly no club statement on this. Abbo must be laughing his head off!
I expect a wave of defensive responses saying that he didnt have much time etc and to that I agree in some part. But the man should be a bit humble, he came in, shouted his mouth off on twitter and failed. He is either very unlucky, extremeley thick skinned, over confidendent or deluded.
Keep an eye out for the "come and get me" interviews/tweets!

Be good to have Terry White back at the club. Gary Wilson appears to be one of the favourites for the Lewes job. Wouldn't be surprised if we lost a few players to Lewes if Gary does get the job.

I see Ade has left Maidstone, I would however be very surprised to see him return although you never know in football.

Recon Ade will go to Hythe Town fc with Tim, recon they will be definate contenders next season along with HUFC...Interesting to see what happens to Thurrock with Carshalton getting a possible reprieve and Sittingbourne and Chatham maybe now in the Ryman South which would be good for HUFC as closer to travel to How many Saturdays till new season ???? Its all gone very quiet on the transfer front!!!

Rye's twitter has just put a statement saying that we've resigned Matt McCLean, good signing if correct, Hope we get Andy Atkins to go with him too.

Some pretty positive stuff so far, if Matt Maclean has signed then that's more good news, joint second top scorer in Sussex Div 1 last season, I'm sure he'll bang in a few for us in Ryman South. Still got a long way to go though.

Cant say I share your optimism Leon. Cannot feel any excitement in signing county league players to get us out of the Ryman South. Should be setting our sights a lot higher. With all due respect to Matt, I'm not sure any Rye players would improve our side but there again I'm not all that sure many of our players would improve the Rye side.

Disappointing that Stuart King would rather sign for Folkstone than Hastings. Travelling wouldn't have been that much of a problem as many away games would be in Kent. Perhaps he had a chat with Ade about the desirability of playing for Hastings? Think Danny and Matt Maclean will be useful squad players but not regular starters for a team hoping to get promoted.

Stuart King lives near Hearn Bay and pondered over travelling when spoken to about joining us. Im told He gave the impression he wasn't happy to travel that far and I'm sure that this was the only stumbling block.

Well yeah if we're aiming to get out of Ryman South straight away, then we should be aiming higher, however I'm not entirely confident of getting a squad strong enough for that at the mo . However, if we're going to at least get together a half decent squad for this level, then I think someone who scored 27/28 league goals in Sussex 1 is still a decent signing for a team at this level.

I'm not getting carried away though, like I said, we've still got a long way to go yet.

Not another County League player surely?  We need much better than that.  If we can't afford to have a go for promotion next season with the FA Cup money behind us then we never will.

Not looking good at the moment, mid-table optimistic?

Obviously budget isn't limitless Powels but this season it certainly reflects the clubs ambitions to get out of the league at the first time of asking. The question now is can we persuade players to come to us in the lower league. I know that one player was approached and was reluctant to travel as he lived a fair distance away. So its not all about money.

Arrows, I believe that talks are still going on.

great to have signed Matt a quality player who was playing well below his capablilities, see Atkins is to remain at Rye and the boy mentioned in the Observer last week  Stuart  King has gone back to Folkestone who Maidstone bought him for £5000 last season!!!

Players would come if the money was right, there are other reasons though if rumours are correct why some players will not sign whatever the money.

In think that The club were prepared to pay a fee for hentisols a statement oftheirbintensions this season. As I said the budget is a very competitive one and to sugliest he money wasn't right isn't true.

agree we don't want to break the bank, andwere stuck in the south east corner so its likely we may have to pay that bit more to entice players that will make the difference but,i feel if that what it takes ? also know theres risks but do we want to be challengers.

Rickki Banks has left Wealdstone due to the traveling, he's Brighton based and wonder if he would be a good fit for us? ( Assuming Matt isn't fit )

if ricki played prem level why assume matt comes first dan surely with the extra money from the fa we should be looking to sign players from at least that level,

I mention Matt as if he was fully fit I would be happy with him in goal again as he was having a decent season himself in the prem until the Harrogate injury, Banks is decent though.
