Some people may well think that the season is over now with nothing left to play for as we are already relegated, but we should still try hard in trying to beat Kinstonian on saturday and finishing above Carshalton if possible.

The reason being is that in previous seasons if another club has folded for any particular reason The highest placed club in the relegation zone with the most points and best goal difference(in the 3 Premier Leagues) has received a reprieve and stayed in their premier division.

I think Boreham wood did in 2007/08 and Margate in 2008/09 and 2009/10.

Whether that would happen this season though remains to be seen.

That's a really interesting point Bandit, we discussed exactly that on the way to yesterday's match. Just yesterday Farnborough went into administration and rumour has it that Ebbsfleet will follow by the weekend. What happens next nobody knows. Is it a point reduction for the start of the new season or will it be a Chester like result where they were relegated 2 divisions. So totally agree, very important we win tomorrow because nothing would surprise me in this silly game.

Wish I hadn't read this thread! Had accepted our fate but now there's a tiny bit of forlorn hope again! Damn you! Lol

If it was to happen Dan we wouldn't find out for a good few weeks yet, my advise look at it as the worse and it could be a nice surprise if anything else happens. I won't be counting my chickens just yet.

In fact Farnborough have gone down owing a staggering 2 million. My god, how can a non league club owe 2 mill. I assume with debts like that there is no chance of points reduction. They either fold or start again at the bottom tier.
