Bishop's Stortford beat Welling United in the FA Cup they then went on to win the Blue Square South - Hastings United beat Bishop's Stortford in the FA Cup and were relegated - Bishop's Stortford remain in the Blue Square North [Soon to be South].

After the obnoxious behaviour of your "management" in the dugout vs Bishop's Stortford I am SO SO SO GLAD you are relegated, thoroughly deserved !!!

First I've heard of any trouble in the dugout during that match! Anyone else know of anything? Glad to see you are not still bitter about being beaten by a side below you in November eh?!

Enjoyed meeting your fans that day at a nice club who were all decent types who were magnanimous in defeat and generally wished us well, clearly you were not one of them!

Hope you feel better getting that off your chest! We may be relegated which certainly hurts but we had FA cup memories this season that will never die!

To be fair they had a very successful season themselves. 17th in a very poor league in which we beat the side in 6th, 73 goals conceded, the only team in the world not to beat Hinkley at home and oh! they lost against little old Hastings who got relegated from the league below. Doesn't sound quite so bad now, especially when you have the memories of Boro and 150k in the bank. Cheers Denzilbiggrin

Have you been waiting all this time to post that Denzil ? you should get out more mate, you might meet some other anoraks. To be honest i'd nearly forgotten our trip there but I remember now, decent compact ground, friendly people, decent bar and oh yes we turned you over didnt we?

As far as I remember the only obnoxious behaviour on the day came from some of your directors in the directors box who firstly didn't realise that Hastings is in Sussex and not Kent and also that in his words said " they're only a side in a lower league and we won't loose to these" . Wrong on both accounts Denzil but besides that we enjoyed our day and gave you a wave as we passed through Bedfordshire on our way to Boro in the third round.

Also you have the same average crowd this season as us who got relegated to the Ryman South. So concentrate on your own issues before gloating at ours!

Looks like it. Looking expensive now. Think we will take up Mod's offer and scrounge some drinks of Liam O'Brien.

There again dopey Dan supports Real Oviedo so who knows, perhaps Bishops Stortford do have a following in Poole

To be fair we've made the Bishops Stortford fans forum now! Shame some of them were not that vocal on the day, fans very friendly but almost as quiet as Whitehawk.

Denzil's post certainly cheered me up after Thursday.
Can't understand why anyone would want to go on another club's forum and admit they were still bitter after six months......just asking for a bit of a savaging !
Anyway, maybe next year will be your year, Denzil.....when you get worldwide exposure on ESPN, get huge exposure on TV and in the press, have the FA cup in you clubhouse, reach the third round, take a huge crowd to a magnificent stadium and pocket £150K plus.
Then again it almost certainly won't be and you'll have missed this once in a lifetime opportunity for ever !

Come to think of it, now I can see why you're so bitter !

Just wanted to express my comiserations on your relegation. In many ways, it has been a memorable season for the club, given their fantastic FA Cup run, but it always hurts when it culminates in a league relegation at the end of the season.

It is possible that I might film one of your games again next season as you will be visiting Hythe Town where I do some occasional camera work, or I have been known to do the odd Folkestone Invficta game as well, since both clubs are geographically near to me.

I shall continue to keep an eye on your progress as always and wish you a great season in the Ryman South.
