I don't think Sam Adams will play as he was struggling with a knock on Monday before he came off

At least we got to the 3rd round of the F.A cup and played at the riverside in the F.A cup and Semi Final of the sussex senior, when we're confirmed to stay up I think it'll be our best season since promotion from the southern league

I thought the first half performance was good but we didnt carry it on in the second half. They were there for the taking but we didnt/couldnt capitalise and im gutted that we won't get an Ammex final, It might even be warm by then!

A game of two halves to say the least. Not sure what happened at half time I can only put it down to a major IPad malfunction!

Anyone seen Bradley The lesser spotted Goldberg? Must be another 10 days I assume!

Some very nice comments about the 2nd half performance, perhaps the goings on, on this forum this week have left everyone a little nervous about posting true thoughts, so i'll give it a go.

Apart from the first 10 minutes we pretty much dominated the 1st half and really should have gone in 2 or 3-1 up. Their goal came on 9 minutes after a quick break down their left and a driven cross across the 6 yard box left a static Richardson out of position leaving the attacker to simply tap in from 2 yards. After this Hastings dominated with the impressive Elliot Cox causing problems down the right, and it was his surging run and excellent cross which set up Zac for an excellent headed equalizer. After this there looked to be only winner as nice slick passing and plenty of energy kept Hastings well and truly on top for the remainder of the half against a willing but limited opponent.

But what was said at half time i will never know as Hastings came out 2nd half a completely different side and for the next 45 minutes were incapable of threading together 2 passes and did not have one single attempt on target. This is not to say that Bognor were battering us, as neither keeper really had a save to make all half, but you could see the winner coming as Bognor had more and more possession as half wore on. Eventually, 12 minutes from time, the winner did come after what looked like another poor effort from Richardson (am I being unfair?) allowed the center forward to round the keeper and score from a tight angle. We then waited for the cavalry charge but it just didn't happen. Bognor sat deep and we struggled to break them down and  a Richardson shot, which flew well over, was our only half chance.

So another really disappointing result, especially after the 1st half performance. Positives from the night were Elliot returning to form and the magnificent Freddie Warren, who in my opinion, and those around me, put in one of the best individual Hastings performances of the season. Could he be our new Harry Pell/Beautyman/Porter etc.

The negatives were clearly the poor attacking performance in the 2nd half along with the performance of Richardson (after a good performance on Monday), who is not a left back and is no way better than Rory Murphy. Not Jono's fault, just feel he is playing out of position. Also I was really disappointed with N'Diaye again. For a big lump I think my 8 year old could beat him in the air and he just seems to drift in and out of games.

So a few more positives from the night and the starting line up looked a lot more solid and probably (apart from left back) the strongest we could pick. But there are certainly 3 points to be had on Saturday as Bognor are more than beatable.

p.s Great banter with the Bognor fans last night. A well supported club with a good bunch of fans.

So right Johnw, cant disagree with any of that, as for Warren & N`Diaye, two totally diferent players, one industrious, hard working and the other making the numbers up, as for your 8 year old, I thought he was playing in their No 2 shirt !

Ha ha! your right there Rev, but how well did he do. He only looked 15/16, 8 stone wringing wet, and 5ft 2, but still beat N'Diaye in the air. Fair play to him, Doug Tuck his name.

You may laugh Barry but I was told by the highest authority, no that's not God but someone as important within the club, that Bradley would definitely be back on Saturday. Unfortunately, it was noted by many last night on twitter that Bradley seems to have had a set back and is..... yes...... at least another 10 days away.

Nice to know John that the club know what's going on!!

In my opinion and many others we will not see Bradley again.

Very concerned that's it Ryman South for us next year which will pose many questions

I actually do beleive they were expecting him back this week but it does sound like Bradley is struggling again and not even in full training at the momment due to a set back. I tend to agree Barry that we may have seen the last of him but really hope not as he is a cracking player.

Gutted if he has had another setback but wouldn't want him to risk his career by coming back when not fit, probably make it at league level soon enough.

Hope he gets fit though and comes back for last 5-6 games and scores some goals, we've missed him badly

Contrary to what some believe Badleys father has been in contact with the club and is aware of how it looks that the updates on his injury is looking poor regards it being put back all the time. The latest is that yes you've guessed it will be another 10 days. I personally believe we have to plan our next few games without Bradley and if he does get fit ahead of the time given its a bonus.
Looking at the bigger picture I would say for someone so young it's imperative that his injury is recovered properly just look at Michael Owen, he was always getting injured when Bradley's age and probably rushed back to quickly which I believe hampered his career later on.

I, like a few have said thought Bognor were there for the taking last night. I would rather of lost that last night and get 3 points on Saturday given the choice and I feel that's what we will get, a bit of fight like we had against Lewes and I think the boys will come home victorious.

Totally agree Barry. I too, given the choice, would rather have 3 points on Saturday. Looking at the Bognor forum, it seems they have a huge injury list at present, with a lot of their best players out so we have a big chance on Saturday, although their list of missing players makes last nights win against our best 11 even more impressive... or depressing, however you wish to look at it.

Yeah it was certainly a very frustrating game to watch and one we should of won. I think last nights result may just spur the boys on Saturday.

Definitely need a win now on Saturday. Bognor, with a smaller population than Hastings, do seem to be a well run club. Good to read from JohnW about Freddie Warren-a young player looking to advance his career. Hope Rory and Sam are in the starting line up for Saturday. Bradley must make sure he is fully recovered before returning-probably best to aim to get fit for the start of next season-hopefully with Hastings!

Certainly was a game of two halves as has been said. I think someone suggested that the best talent on display in the 2nd half was Bognor's physio! As a happily married man and paragon of virtue I couldn't possibly comment.

I wonder what she thought of the................. shall we call them offers? she received when she walked past our end, including from two lads who looked like they were about 8.

The two lads you refer too as looking about 8 were Rob French and Dave Rimmer..... and yes she was mighty fine!

what a waste of the chance to play at the amex. Bognor were poor had injuries galore before the game if there forum is right and we play 1 up front and even if playing that Zac is not the guy to hold the ball up. For 30 minutes in the first half we were great getting forward .what gets said at half time? they be better saying nothing or were they all playing on computers!? obvious we needed subs but we wait to 75 minutes to change it. then go 2-1 down and we wait another 10 minutes before a change when we not look like scoring for 40 minutes.
all technical stuff that coach is doing is effing pointless if he cant see the obvious. and then he goes on twitter to claim we play well!!!!! wheres the brick wall cos i need to bang my head at it. playerwise there is a couple of players that arnt good enough but the players we have should be getting more wins its the tactics that are wrong and players out of form being picked to play when others stay on bench. players dont look like they know what system they are meant to be playing. After Thurrock win last night really wthink we could go down with Lewes
