We're not 5 years old and pointing fingers - does it matter?! Does this help, in any way?

Why don't we all just ****ing get behind whoever's out there on Saturday, stop trying to create divides between our own fans and just try and get out of this together? We all want us to get out of this, so let's just get 200 of us at Lewes on Saturday, and bully ourselves out of the relegation zone?

If I'm put on the spot - I blame anyone who was at the Harrogate FA Cup game who isn't still here giving everything to get us out of this ****hole. That night proved that the better team can be beaten by the 12th man.

Well if it encourages Sean to hand the reigns to someone else and try a different approach then its achieved more than simply cheering at the game. We've seen that support won't get us out of this mess. Support alone is not he answer. You could have 500 at Lewes and we'd still have bad tactics, bad performances and a bad manager. That's just my opinion and I've managed it without having to use expletives at anyone. :)

I do completely respect what you're saying Jez, even if I may not agree! Please don't take any expletives to be aimed at anyone, rather more accidentally dispersed in the general direction of the situation.

One of the things that did concern me last night was the amount of times that I felt obliged to tell players to stand on the posts for corners, to push players outside onto their weaker feet rather than showing them inside, and to pick up the rozzers on the short throws. Even with our goal, I had to scream at Jamie to stand on their goalkeeper... And when the ball came in, he blocked him just enough that Dixon got to it first.

I can't see how mistakes like that could be bad tactics, it's an indiscipline in players who should have these obvious things drilled into for years... I know I certainly did!

We still haven't conceded a goal in front of me this season (barring Boro) - maybe I should change ends and just stay with the defenders, rather than insisting on always being at Elphinstone Road end?

Support alone may not be the answer, but it certainly won't hurt. And if I come back from a game with no voice, I at least feel like I've done everything I possibly can to get us to our shared goal...

Sean I'm afraid. Players have the quality but I personally think they lack any real direction, tactics and strategy.

I`m with you Glenn, this is so pathetic, at this stage in the season the only thing that matters is to get behind the team, and then sort out in close season what happens next, this is such a waste of energy, which is needed more that ever on match days, I believe that until we cant stay up mathematically, then there is always a chance, yer! sad aint I? but thats what life is about not just football. So do what Glenn says and get behind the team and stop trying to wind people up.

Glenn makes some good points. For all we know DW may have made the decision or told Sean that he is man whether we go down or not. If that's the case, and it wouldn't surprise me, then its just a waste of time having these conversations. I know Sean's a proud man and I do not honestly think he will walk away either so whether you like it or not we've just got to get on with it and continue supporting the team and pray we get out of this mess however hard that maybe at the mo.

Its not like playing Snooker or Tennis whereby if you are not playing well then the only person to blame is yourself.
Football is a team game where everyone must take the blame if they aren't playing well, in the same way the whole team takes the credit if they are playing well.
Everyone got us into this mess (Chairman,Manager & Players) so everyone can get us out of it,and I believe that they will.

Agree with Glenn, Rev, John and Bandit. Playing a "Blame game" is just divisive at a time when we actually need to pull together.

According to the manager the players are good enough, according to a lot of you the manager is good enough, so why have we only 4 league games all season? It's not about getting behind the team its about winning matches, and our current manager does not seem capable of getting a team together to do this. Most of the teams in this league get by without support so why use not getting behind the players as a reason or excuse for poor performance, Pat I think we have pulled together for a while and it's made no difference an alternative approach is now required not the i have sat on the fence so long the post is now coming up my **** approach.

So basically ChrisB - if i happen not to agree with you I get abuse for my stance? I think I have the absolute right to say my opinion and I'm sorry if my loyalty to Sean and the team offends you and isn't what you want to hear. Its not going to change though.

Never been so depressed with a result and left feeling incrediably angry

However.

Everyone connected to the club has some part in the outcome of the results, Chairman, Management, Players of course play the biggest role as is obvious but even fans comments on a forum can play a sutble part, Players and management do read this as we know and get affected by it and form both good and bad can well be affected by it as we know, we have a absoloute right to speak our minds on here but it can often affect things in ways we dont realise when we put them down in writing.

In my opinion Its virtually impossible for it to be soley down to anyone person and unfair to single any one person out if people want to blame individuals to get them out then thats a great shame and can see no good coming of it.. other may disagree about what is a good result however.

Personally i think its primarliy events rather than personalitys which have killed us with the period after Boro in particular with Matt AF injured ( Then O'brian also crocked ) and JJ leaving for the States at the same time being the biggest cause of our malaise and the relatuvly settled defensive unit was blown apart and any consistancy destroyed which contaminated the other areas of the team. There are other reasons in addition from this of course and not denying it but this started the real rot that has left us 2nd from bottom in my eyes.

As has been pointed out the most important thing as us as fans to do is to stay fully behind the players on the pitch for 90 minutes as frustrating and depressing as it may be at this time!

Think the turnout and mood of our fans at Lewes could most definately have an effect on ( Self Aware Cliche Alert Klaxon! ) a 'must win' match.

Form is rock bottom, so it cant get much worse and if players read this I say thats a good thing. We cant pussyfoot around hoping we dont hurt their feelings. We're all passionate about this club and want to see it survive in the Ryman. Some of us think no one is at fault, others think its mainly down to one man, others every everyone is at fault. But suggesting we should be careful what we write (which I think is the jist of the quoted paragraph above) in case we upset the players is nonsense in my opinion. Maybe knowing the fans discontent will provide the players with the motivation that Sean cannot.

Hi Chris

Hehe. Thanks, but i've already said i'm not coming to anymore games this season. I can't justify the expense and I dont believe in what Sean Ray is doing to my club, so i'm not showing my support anymore until things change. Its the only thing I feel I can do. At least i'm standing up for what I believe in I suppose. I do miss match days though I must admit. Its a principle thing....I think.

Appreciate the offer though. I appreciate all the offers. There are some good people supporting this club.

Applogies as well for recalling you a Troll previously, had a think about it and should have bit my tounge but like yourself couldn't hold back on here.

Thats cool Dan. That's what it's all about at the end of the day. Opinions.

I believe I'm right, you believe your right. Sometimes your posts do come across as if your preaching your version of morality on the rest of us. But I guess that's just something I'll have to get used to if I want to post on here and offer my opinion. I try not to tell people what they should and shouldn't do, but I am guilty of saying what I truly think and not mincing my words. Some people can take offence to that, but thats up to them.

As for the apology, if its sincere then its accepted.

In regards to the morality, not intended but maybe it's just the SC thing making me moderate myself a bit, when someone else is running it then maybe my tone will change!

Back in January I said it was time for a manager change. told not to panic by Pat. yes cup run great but our league form was awful and it should be league form that judges a manager. Now though think its to late to change manager. the only way out of this is get some better players in. the signings have been poor, County League football at Rye has done Adams no favours and he looks a shadow of the player that left us. Freeman woeful, the only one that has done well is Judge even though thought he went good to start.
if manager went now i think no one new would come in so someone at the club would do it, either a senior player or even worse laptop. dont think that would help unless the players really hate sean and i dont think that.
Who is to blame? someone else said its a team game but ultimately the buck stops with the manager. players have not performed to their best lack concentration and dont always look 100% committed but the manager needs to sort it and if he cant then the chairman needs to sort it. what annoys me is that the football was watchable and even though results were not great games were entertainingish. since the new coach arrived we dont look like scoring and look like we play for 0-0 at start of every game. it back to Hopkinson days of boring football.
for me it was obvious wed end in this mess in Jan, to late to panic now just a case of crossing everything and hope we survive and wherever we end up it will then be time to make a change for next season
although Jez has very valid points supporters of clubs support in bad times as well as good. if you only want to support when it going well then best stick to Man City, Man Utd or some other big side. So disappointed Jez has given up, understand despair but not giving up.

Sorry Peter but when you don't support the manager and want a change it seems wrong to spend money to cheer him on. Staying away is my way of showing I don't support him leading my local club.

Always intended to step down at out end of season and announced it on here several times to be fair. More of a caretaker role really.

It's going to be a committee run organisation again hopefully from June 1st and just want to leave it in a fair shape for whoever takes it on.

Taking over halfway through the season with no paid members, no membership cards and no funds meant there was no reason to be a member, spent the time up to now trying to change that long term with new reasons to be one including HUFCTV. Forums, SC websites etc, popular Facebook page, Regular coaches to away matches, raise money etc.

Some have worked some for various reasons have not, that's life

When it does go committee based why not think about joining it?

if you are a true supporter of the club you dont stay away surely? support is through thick and thin surely? we all have the choice whether we watch surely?....if you dont like it stay away surely? Go watch another team surely? Think the club is better off without some of these so called supporters surely? ....just my view Im afraid...hope no one is offended or feels bullied...just expressing a view point...surely?
