So, who are the players that "will not play for Hastings United again"?
Looking at the two matches below, I see that the Hastings starting line up was almost identical, and players used was the same, so what went wrong ? and who out of all these players are going to be leaving Hastings ? I think I heard it right in his after game interview. Can anyone who watched the Lewes game and the Cray game tell me what happened ? We draw against (and very nearly won) the team who were unbeaten and top of the league. Then lost, extremely badly it seems to the club who happen to be bottom of our league and have only managed 4 points.
I went to the Lewes game and we played and defended really well.
The only difference I can see is that Jack Dixon wasn't in the side against Cray and Billy Vigar went off injured after 40 minutes and was strangely replaced by Kane Penn who seemed to be playing centre forward, when he normally plays at left back/midfield. I would have thought Finn Chapman would have replaced him.
He seems to be playing players out of position as when Jack Dixon played in central midfield just behind the strikers he got quite a few goals, saying that I also think he has done a brilliant job at centre back and has often been man of the match in my eyes so I don't know, he seems to be quite a versatile player.
I think also he relies an awful lot on Adam Lovatt and Davide Rodari to perform miracles, and often they get over run by the opposition and it all falls flat.
I think we miss Sam Cruttwell and Tom Chalmers (injured) and also John Ufuah, Sam Okoye and Ollie Black who have left the club.
So no I don't know who he is going to leave out as we don't have the depth of squad and experience to replace any of them at the moment.
