Bad news for Hastings United. Gary is a young and ambitious manager. To me his resignation shows he thinks thinks Hastings United are not going to progress. Don't think he will be short of clubs after him.

Sad that he has gone, but having supported Hastings for many many years , nothing surprises me any more. As I have said before if anybody wrote the history of United you would have to file it under ‘Fiction’ because nobody would believe most of it. Looking forward to next season.

What me strikes is the very neutral announcement of his leaving of the official.... and we are back to business as usual. Although I am far away I know there is a lot going behind the scenes and not looking all good

Council blocking ground development, cost of Pilot Field repairs, owners not happy with ground issues-good time for Gary to leave-unfortunately for us.

It’s obviously very sad to lose a very good management team who have brought success and a bit of feel good factor. There are many issues to be resolved and the club is pretty much at a crossroads. There is no doubt that to progress, all the interested parties need to find a resolution quickly. That’s easier said than done. In my 55 years of supporting the club, I cannot recall any local council being supportive or committed to helping the club develop toward a long term future. I can’t see that changing. It is interesting that where councils support their local clubs and recognise their importance to the local community, things happen. Our new management team will have to contend with all this stuff and, no doubt, work within a budget that will enable them to continue the good work done over the last couple of years.

And I think this is one of the issues. Can we keep the same budget? What is the reason of Gary leaving?
