Am I the only person worrying that all of our best/senior players seem to be leaving? Are the club in troubl?

I may well be forgetting someone, but the only notable departures that I can recall since the start of the season have been Kai Brown, and now Gil Carvalho, neither of whom could surely be considered to fall into the 'best' or 'senior' categories.

To be fair, I have no doubt that Rebecca Relf will be a very significant loss to the women's team, but I am going to need some convincing that anything here is evidence of a crisis.

Seems that Rebecca has joined Eastbourne United Association where, I am sure, she will have a guaranteed first team place which wasn't necessarily the case at Hastings. Don't think Kai or Gill quite lived up to expectations. Looks like our goal threat will depend a lot on the fitness of Lloyd. Strangely our two best signings, Jake and Alex, have been in positions where we looked quite strong.

Trouble is Sean, long term U's supporters have been through successive "crises" and we are always nervous about what the future holds!

I agree with others. I wish Gil well, as I did Kai, but neither really fitted in as might have been hoped.
We have a good defence now - as the run of clean sheets demonstrates - but surely without any disrespect to James Hull who is a great prospect, we need another striker as a priority?

Having been away for a few weeks I was rather concerned when I read the opening post in this thread. What on earth have I missed ? Pleased to have it confirmed that it is just Kai and Gil who have been allowed to depart.
It guess it is slightly ironic that our two 'best signings', Alex and Jake, have joined an already pretty solid looking defence but, then again, plenty of cover at the back can't be a bad thing.
As Tim has said, the fitness of Lloyd now seems particularly important given the reduction in attacking options. It is already evident that breaking down defences in this league is quite a bit harder and I feel we are now short of the required quality and variety in attack. I'm sure Gary has got his eyes open, but decent goal scorers don't often come available in October. Hopefully goals can also come from our quality midfield players but we will need to pass well and attack as a team to get these players involved in our attacks. Long balls to an isolated Ben won't get us far tomorrow.
Anyway, REALLY looking forward to a dose of live Pilot Field football !

Striker has to be priority as we have bottom goals for in the league. It would be good if the club would communicate more on players departing the club as it is not on the club website. Anyone know what happened to Ismiala Diallo played a couple games then never saw him again

Gary was reported pre-season as wanting more pace in the side. Think that still applies. But our defence has been so good this season.

Might be battle of the defences against Bishop Stortford. They have not conceded in their last five games.
