Well I have been fortunate enough to only witness victories on my travels to opponents grounds this season and I am confident I will witness my sixth win tomorrow.
I just hope we can reach the same level of intensity as we did in the first half last week. With Sammy, Knorry and Danny all available again from recent absences we really should have too much for our opponents.
Then again, this is football and strange things can happen.
Should be a very pleasant drive up the A22 for a large number of U's fans tomorrow.
Enjoy Mick, wouldn't it be nice if Ashford helped us out tomorrow by losing, no malice intended, just would be nice not to have to wait too long. then the following Saturday would be a must see match.
A fantastic 25 minutes won us the game, only downside was it should have been 8 we were guilty of a few misses. But overall another solid performance and only 2 pts required
Amazing performance 4 shots 3 goals controlled the game won convincingly few little kids and gobby few fans let the club down both teams below us dropped points so three more next week and we are champions amazing day COYUS
Far more comfortable than I ever could have hoped having gone three goals up in next to no time.
Once again our opponents saw plenty of the ball but the difference between the effectiveness of the two attacks was colossal. Finn, Craig and others allowed our opponents a mere handful of half chances, meanwhile we could easily have had seven or eight with the chances we made.
Great to see Danny get his first goals for the club....OK, he will be disappointed not to have got his hat-trick (or more) but this was a day in the sun for all to enjoy without any incriminations.
As an aside, Ramsgate's quest for promotion is becoming very interesting. They too have been enjoying a surge in crowd numbers and over 835 turned up today. However their form has suddenly deserted them with straight defeats against Corinthian, Whitehawk and Sittingbourne.
Their next three games ? Cray, Haywards Heath and Ashford.
You can almost feel the tension from here !
Don’t really think you can assess anything on Ramsgate and their crowds, as they keep having everyone in for nothing days and today was another one of those days.
Apologies to Danny for forgetting that goal at Chichester......and, I agree, a large crowd on a 'free entry' day can hardly be called a 'surge in interest'.
I see Andrew Sesay has just joined Ashford United. It's hard to keep track of him.
