A Potential Banana Skin here but I think that we can just about overcome it.
Over the last 8 games they are 2nd behind us in the form table having lost only once and beaten Ashford, Haywards Heath and Cray along the way.
I can't believe how low they are in the table and not fighting for a play off place!

Difficult to know what to expect from Three Bridges. Their improved form has really only arrived in the last few weeks but that does include three victories over top six sides. It has often been hard to tell the difference in quality between opponents near the top from opponents near the bottom and they appear to have played like both of those this season with heavy defeats, impressive wins and plenty of goals.
Let's hope they come here with the attitude of 'putting one over on the Champions elect '......and go all out for a win ! It could then be an entertaining game.
Grateful that we currently have a 10 point cushion with such unpredictable opponents.

Talking of Champions elect I think that if Cray Valley U23 team fail to beat Carshalton U23 tomorrow afternoon we will be U23 Champions and will be well deserved.

First of all congratulations to Tim and Charlie who won £210 on the 50/50 with ticket 2807 . As for the game first half excellent with two good goals. Probably could have had 4 or 5 . Second half , bit of a non event.Wasn’t sure whether we sat back on out lead, both teams ran out of ideas , or steam. Still 3 points in the bag and championship that bit nearer,

Built the lead and sat on it restricted bridges to half chances and long range potshots 2nd half sat back and controlled the half 2 points to add to the lead two more wins and we’ve done it

Hard to see how they thrashed Ashford 5 - 1 a few weeks ago and it was, I suppose, quite a predictable result given the teams relative positions in the league. So much for my prediction of something unpredictable !!
The match itself was remarkably similar to the Corinthian game two weeks ago. We were pretty relentless in the first half again and could easily have gone in at least four up. As before, we were causing huge problems down the right with Tom Chalmers combining well with James Hull on this occasion.
The second half never really ignited. Not sure how Three Bridges reorganised but the threat from TC seemed to evaporate and the threat of any more goals went with it.
All in all though, another solid performance with two excellent headed goals and with other results going our way the title suddenly feels very close.
Thought Dave Martin did Ok today but I can't see him being with us next season. Good to see Sam Hassler getting a start.
No sign of Danny Parish or Knory today, even on the bench. Anyone know anything about that ?

Hastings very good in the first half and as good as we needed to be in the second half. Another enjoyable afternoon at the Pilot Field.

Was worried I wasn't going to make it at one point. Overall, I was expecting a hard fought match but I was surprised by how easy we more or less dominated the first half and made it look very comfortable. As always good to see Ashford only getting a point and not all three. Agree with PhilG in his second post - second half it looked very different to the first and wasn't too sure what the game plan was (if there was one?) no complaints though and felt happy we got the job done in the end. In summary, great afternoon, great result, and a somewhat less stressful drive back after just getting out of Lewes.
