What a great season for Hastings United- both our men's and ladies teams are doing so well. Cray was a great win but must also include our ladies who did brilliantly to come back from 2-1 down at half time to defeat top of the table Acorns 4-2. They are now in with a good chance of winning their league and promotion. And, I think our U23'S have a match Tuesday night- they are also winning their league.
I refuse to get too excited until it becomes a mathematical certainty. The next two home matches will certainly be tough and conceivable points could conceivably be lost. Being realistic though, I think we should certainty get more than enough points from all the other fixtures to ensure the title is ours even if we do falter a little in these games.
Can't help being something of a pessimist....it helps in avoiding disappointment. 😊😊😊
Interesting run in for Ramsgate as they still have to play Cray, Haywards Heath and Ashford. I guess they could argue that winning second place is totally within their control. I'd prefer our run in !
