Great performance from the team today. Ben Pope given man of the match although anyone could have been given it in the terrible conditions, but a good old fashioned game of football. Also well done to the stewards for what they did. Heroes the lot of them. Finally well done to Steph McCrossan on winning the 50/50 with ticket 1044 prize £122.50
Was worried before the game that a heavy pitch would make the game a bit of a lottery but as it turned out we had a fast surface (with a few rather too damp exceptions) which really helped us zip the ball about.
To be honest I thought that was a complete all round performance today against a team who were far from the worst we have seen this season. The 15 minute spell after halftime in which we tore them apart was exhilarating stuff.
Hard to pick a MotM today as there were excellent performances all over the pitch. The goal scorers will get the headlines but Louis, Ryan, Marcus and others were class acts today.
Well done to everyone who helped to get the game on. Shame the missing thousand from last week weren't there to witness such a good all round effort.
Firstly - a huge well done to the stewards, club officials and coaching staff for getting as much of the rain as they could off the pitch and for ensuring the game went ahead as it looked awful in the far corner off the ground by the Steve Smith Stand. Really amazes me when you see someone take out their phone to zoom right in and take a photo and video of it (not sure what the point of that exactly was?)
Secondly - as for the game itself I think we made it look fairly comfortable. Finn, Sam Adams and Ben were excellent and my standout three however everyone played a part one way or another today and there were certainly a few contenders for MOTM.
Finally - nothing critical or a moan but more of a learning curve for me. Choose somewhere different to sit or stand as the little girl sitting behind me shouting "come on Hastings" nearly frightened me to death and could have given me two death ears, with her granddad? shouting the same. Sounds like they come fairly often as I've heard it many times sitting elsewhere as a current STH only to move somewhere else at half time today for a similar experience but not giving me death ears as much although it was fun to listen to. Anyway great atmosphere from those behind the goal as always, fantastic team spirit and performance and more importantly - choose to sit or stand where you won't be clutching onto your seat every few minutes!
Really amazes me when you see someone take out their phone to zoom right in and take a photo and video of it (not sure what the point of that exactly was?)
Hi Tom, That might have been me! Sorry to amaze you, I just thought the scene made for a good photo. Also like to add my thanks to all who helped get this game on. Very appreciated. My favorite football weather.

As others have said a great performance in awful conditions. We adapted to the conditions better than Faversham and gave the most complete performance I have seen since Gary took over. At times it was a bit farcical when the ball didn't roll properly but we mastered the conditions and 4 0 was about right. Stand out players, don't think anyone didn't, Ben obviously the easy choice for MoM but Finn is class and was my stand out player and hope we can sign him permanently because I don't think it's a coincidence that since his arrival things have been better at the back. And what a well taken goal. Nice gap at the top of the table now. Surprised the crowd was that many as looked nowhere near 900 but guess a few people bought tickets and looked out of the window and decided to stay dry. Quite amazing transformation in the few weeks Gary has been in charge

May I put in a good word for yesterday's referee. I know he denied us what looked like a sure fire penalty early on but all credit to him for passing the pitch fit. The conditions were not the greatest,I thought he allowed the game to flow and there were no cards(thanks also to the players). A good game resulted and I hardly noticed him. Always a good sign.
Incidentally I was told on good authority that we are trying to sign Finn after the loan finishes and that he would like to stay. Hope so.
