A difficult, wet and uneven surface, a strong wind and a sloping pitch....just the sort of day you need to dig deep and produce a truly gutsy performance if you want to go top of the league. And we did !
This was never going to be a classic given the conditions but we scored at the time we were on top and this was all that was needed in the end.
Huge credit today to Craig, Finn, Louis & co for their fifth consecutive clean sheet....that doesn't often happen.... and the reason we went top today for the first time this season.
Not much joy for Knory and Dave and a back injury to Ben is a concern.
My MotM goes to Tom who looks a class act at this level for the way he glides past opponents. I hope we can keep him for a bit longer as he is clearly bound for greater things.
Shame Ben wasn't on the pitch for the penalty.....it would have been a more relaxing last 15 minutes.
