This coming Sunday morning, 26-9-2021, I shall be posting 100 Hastings football related programmes on twitter, spanning the last 80 years.

I know many of you already follow me, but for those of you who don't, you can find me on twitter @HistoryHastings or use the #100progs or #100Hastings to find them.

Here are a few covers, to give you an idea of what to expect.

The Hereford programme has a number 163. This was a lucky number and if you won it you received a ten shilling (50p) voucher that could be spent in certain shops around the town. I won it once , think I gave it to my Mum.

I was talking with a couple of spectators about programmes up at the Pilot Field on Saturday. We got talking about other programmes I owned. I was explaining that during my internet searches for Hastings football programmes, I inadvertantly came across other programmes from Hastings, not football related. Such as , theatre, carnival, bathing pool etc. Many of these I have purchased for a few pounds each, as I find them of interest, some of the adverts are facinating and of the times. I promised I would put a couple on the forum, as they use that, but not social networks. I appreciate they are not football related and if admin want to remove them I fully undedstand. I will not make a habit of it.

The first is from 12th June 1905, "Little Mary" and "The Monkeys Paw", at "THe Gaiety Theatre" in Queens Road. These days better know as the "Odeon Cinema. I have also added "then" and "now" pictures.

The second one I shall do as another post on this thread...

...the second one is from 1938, "The Fol De Rols" at the "White Rock Pavilion". Interesting picture of the original seating plan, before the makeover and renaming as the "White Rock Theatre". I have also included a picture of the 1938 cast.
