Wouldn’t call it lucky, would say Karma came to broadfield for there pathetic behaviour. My worry is this inability to stop free kicks, Louis has got to cover his side of the goal, if an opposing player knocks it over the wall good luck to them, but you must cover your side.

A wins a win. Lucky or otherwise. No doubt we will lose when we don't deserve to.

Good effort to recover and a lot of relieved supporters. Did the pitch effect us? We didn't play any "football" but relied totally on corners and long throws. There was only one team doing the passing and surprising to see so many Hastings players going missing in action. A great club house and facilities and a very welcoming club.

Thought Broadfields a decent side, although agree too much falling over. Got out of gaol in the end ,although if I had been one of their supporters would have been a bit miffed. Smashing friendly club.

Cheers Phil, I was convinced the crowd was bigger than that today. But shared gate money for cup games, always makes attendances look interesting?

I thought the free kick they scored from was bent round our wall and straight into the top-right corner. Not much Louis could have done. We got out of jail today, a neutral would have thought we were the lower side in the pyramid. Still, at least we have the weapons from set pieces - Ollie’s throws are insane and we have some big boys to make the most of them.
We looked light in central midfield and we lacked cohesion. I wonder if 3 games in 8 days, two of them on artificial pitches may have taken their toll?
But jeez… lovely to win away from home in the cup, and against a team who although they played good football were horrendous time-wasters and play-actors!
Let’s have a home draw next please!

Five wins on the bounce in quite rapid succession is pretty good going.
We may now need to start getting some home draws in the FA cup to help us progress.
Potentially then a run of five home games to come and the chance for some entertainment for our big home crowds. Exciting times !
