I wonder if anybody would be able to clear up a query that I have?

I've read that Hastings & St Leonards resigned from the Athenian League after the 1913/14 season, as they had no ground to play on anymore.
If that is correct, did the club fold at that point ?
Or did they join another league for 1914/15, only for the First World War to intervene shortly after the season began ?

Hi Mark, that is correct Hastings & St Leonards Amateurs were forced to disband after their ground was earmarked to be part of the newly laid out pleasure gardens by the council. If you look up on google/bing maps Clambers Play Centre, you'll see where the ground was located.
There were plans to find a site for a new senior football ground in the town but were put on hold due to the First World War.
