Very quiet on here lately, but not surprised.

Thought I would start a thread on crowd shots. These are pics I have taken randomly at games home and away. Nothing is over ten years old they are all Hastings United.

Please feel free to comment if you see yourself, any memories of the game etc. Please add your own.

The ten pics are as follows:

Dartford (away) 27-3-2010

Harrogate Town (home) 13-12-2013

Guernsey (home) 14-9-2013

Sittingbourne (away) 8-4-2014

Peacehaven & Telescombe (away) 21-4-2014

Eastbourne United (away) 30-8-2014

Poole Town (home) 10-10-2015

South Park (away) 2-4-2016

Godalming Town (away) 1-4-2017

Lewes (away) 17-4-2017

Depending on reaction, I may, or may not, add more…

Excellent idea ,think I am in Golalming away. Would be nice if people recognise themselves they come on here ,say what pictures they are in , and perhaps let us know they are OK. We are both OK.This will keep me occupied for a while, sure beats counting the number of baked beans in a tin.

Thoroughly enjoying these Vernon, hope to identify some of the crowd and post details soon . At the moment trying to piece together a new lawn mower that I bought a few weeks ago. I’m sure a 5 year old could do it quicker. In the meantime I looked at the Harrogate photo....massive crowd but could not identify anybody, that must tell a story.

The Wroxham phone brings back memories. I am on it along with Mike,Jack (,your lad Vernon) ,Andy Feltz and Phil D. The other guy with the grey hair is an interesting character .He is one of the Demarco family ,Mike Demarco who runs a pub outside Norwich. First encountered him at Leiston where he turned up with his mate “Two Dogs” and a Chinese lady “Yellow River. “ Quite a character is Mike. I also asked “Two Dogs” why he was so called. Told me that he had two dogs. Well, if you must ask a stupid question.........

Great pictures and memories Vernon. Think i was at all of those apart from Camberley away. Can certainly see myself at Bishop Stortford, Grays, Lewes and Hitchin and great pictures with my young lad at Sittingbourne in 2014 and Merstham in 2013.

Vernon , no idea about the flag ‘Yare’ is a river that flows through Norfolk ,but no idea about Brundall. What I do remember about Wroxham is that virtually every shop was ‘Roys’.....Roy’s Department Store, Roy’s Shoe Shop etc....they seemed to have a monopoly in the town

The strange thing about these photos is that in most of them I recognise a lot of people. All very friendly , say hello, buy a programme or 50/50............but as for their names.........not a clue.

Likewise Phil, know many but not all. Even though you have seen them week after week for years. Might post a few more tomorrow
Do you ever take any? You must have a Box Brownie or similar...

Not Cave Paintings.........although I did play for Cains side against Abels X1 . Didn’t end well for them. Did have a Box Brownie , had to take film to Chemist to get developed, pictures usually came back with heads or feet missing.

This is it, very last batch, time for somebody else to add some. Everyone seems to have a phone in their hand these days, so must be loads. Only takes a few minutes.

The final ten are as follows:

1. and 2. 5-5-2007 Tooting and Mitcham (away) (Play Off Final).

3. and 4. 5-1-2013 Middlesbrough (away) (FA Cup Third Round).

5. 16-11-2013 Corinthian Casuals (away).

6. 12-4-2014 Horsham (away).

7. and 8. 29-4-2014 Folkestone Invicta (away) (Play Off Semi-Final)

9. and 10. 25-4-2015 Walton & Hersham (away).

Tooting and Middlesbrough were fantastic days out.

Folkestone, the hurt and agony or their late dodgy deflected winner. Cannot erase that from my mind.

Tooting was an amazing day as was Dover in the semi. Remember the pitch invasion at the end and Ade carrying my daughter on his shoulders. Think Hastings legend Dave King was in goal for Tooting that day. Also enjoyed our trips to the old Horsham ground, always good banter with the home fans.
