I have been coming to watch Hastings now for more than 40 years and have never seen the Gents toilet in such a poor condition, the public toilets in the town are in better condition (if you can find any of course).
It is a Health Hazard and in urgent need of attention,Health & Safety would have a field day!
They look as if they haven't been cleaned since the beginning of the season, the two cubicles don't have any locks on the doors, and in one of them the toilet seat is broken and laying on the floor! its been like that for weeks.Often there is no toilet paper in them.
The walls are black with damp and the sink is filthy, also for years now there has been no soap in the dispenser so how are you supposed to wash your hands properly. If you did manage to wash your hands somehow the hand dryer is so slow that the match would be over before your hands were dry!
I have been to many away grounds and our toilets must be one of the worst, I don't know what the away supporters think, its embarrassing.
We are one of the best supported teams in the league, so surely if there is a lack of volunteers the club could at least afford basic maintenance and basic cleaning, especially with the gates we have had of late.
I know there is a toilet in the clubhouse but it is so small and crowded there is not much room especially when we have big attendances.
If you went to any other entertainment venue where you had to pay to go in and the toilets were like that people would soon complain, so why should a Football ground be any different.

Tend to agree
It was the main reason my wife stopped attending matches when we travelled down from Essex. My assumption is that the summer maintenance work by supporters attempts to keep on top of this.
As a lighter note, is the toilet condition a consequence of “Winners do more”

Spot on Adrian, the toilets are appalling, although I think that at the start of the season they were satisfactory. Some supporters help repaint and tidy up in the close season and although we did quite a bit I can’t recall repairs in the toilet ,although I stand to be corrected.
Perhaps the short term solution ,until we get a new ground, would be some Portaloos , not sure what the cost would be.

I've just had a request to pass on the following message from Billy Wood CEO.

""Please advise the following. As I don’t post but I have read about the toilets.

We have recently hired a new cleaner to bring certain areas up to a standard it needs to be. It seems as things have got older certain things have deteriorated and the toilets will be rectified before the next home game. This isn’t a one off fix and we have to look a little longer term to make them a bit more Attractive.

Any issues I am very available and will do my best to answer any problems/issues any individual sees arise at the club, regardless how big or small.

Great crowd again Saturday! The positive atmosphere I am witnessing has been fantastic, keep up your amazing support, we are unlocking more and more support as the weeks go by making the Pilot Field feel a buzz again! Thank you"".                                                               If anyone has any issues with Billy try catching him at the games. He's very approachable. If you're not sure who he is, just ask one of the stewards and they will point him out to you,

I hope the pigeon droppings issue in the main stand is also being addressed

Na Chris we leave the pigeon s*it 🙄🙄 I'm the one who actually go up there and do it my self and try to clean it up at around 11am in the morning before the game .. So if you want to give me a hand then please do so.. No one has asked me to do it but have taken it on my self .. Obviously you wont get the stains off of the wooden seats.. But I have tryed my best to get them up to a standard.. It takes me a good 2 hours to try and sort it each weekend before a game..

Just wondered if the toilets have been sorted now. They were grim and no hot water. With all the talk of coronavirus and washing hands have the toilets been sorted? Or will the club at least provide hand sanitiser if they can't get the hot water fixed? Are the club taking any other steps to minimise risks?
