Thought this was rather a routine win, spoilt somewhat by some refereeing decisions. Even after Craig Stone was sent off, anyone know what for? they caused us few problems. Ben Popes first goal a cracker.

Nice chatting to our former players Mick Crowe and Chris Hamshire who were at today’s game.

Many congratulations to Matt’s wife, sorry don’t know her name ,who gave birth yesterday and was at the game today. Now that’s what you call support.

1st yellow card for kicking the ball away and then 2nd and obviously red card for dissent! Poor ref, but silly to get sent off and then left us defending our lead rather than kicking on with a few more goals

Good win with two well taken goals. Referee a total dork which he had made totally clear by the time the needless yellow yellow red saw Craig off. We lose him for one game.

Crucial games looming. Feb 4 away to Whitehawk, 8th home to Ashford. In the meantime Guernsey can do us a favour tomorrow.

703. Great step 4 attendance. Ashford next month is looking good for 1000 plus.

Pretty easy win again against a Ramsgate side that tried to spoil the game and wind our players up, especially Dixon. Wasn't sure if the penalty was a penalty, looked harsh but did not matter after Pope's well taken 2nd goal. Didn't think there was anywhere near 700 in the ground today, looked a lot less than on New Years Day! Didn't actually realise Stone was sent off until I heard another supporter talking, apparently sent off for kicking the ball away which for a player of his experience is poor. Another 3 points, onwards....

Craig Stone's sending off ridiculous. Hardly commits a foul get gets sent off for 2 minor offences. How did their defender not get a yellow for clear, deliberate trip on Lanre is he was closing in on goal. Ref an example of not really understanding the game but probably an expert on the laws (if not how to interpret them).

A slightly curious day today. A three goal win was probably the least we all expected against one of the league's worst performing sides. To be honest we didn't really get too far out of second gear but it was still way too much for our opponents today. A well worked first goal and a brilliant strike from Ben plus a generous penalty were always going to be more than enough to earn the three points.
I felt the deserved, but ridiculous, red card rather spoil the spectacle as our main objective changed to 'not conceding' once we were down to ten men...which was a shame for what must have been the biggest league crowd for many years today in a rather uninspiring last 30 minutes.
Ben was rightly made MOTM but I thought Ollie Black again showed what a classy young player he is today.

Thought it was a measure of our progress from playoff contenders to potential title winners, in some ways. As others have said, we really weren't at our best, and we particularly missed Adam Lovatt's industry in midfield. Ramsgate did a pretty good job of disrupting our passing game and making us go long; there were times when the ball sailed from goalkeeper to goalkeeper three or four times in succession. Last season, that might've been enough to get them something from a scrappy game, perhaps even three points if we got a bit sloppy in our eagerness to go forward. This season, absolutely nowhere near.

The referee was a pain, but I thought our response was really poor. If you know that he's one of those who wants to make his presence felt and wave his cards around, why are you giving him more decisions to make? Why flip the ball away when you're three up with half an hour left against a team that's barely had a shot? Why get involved in a slanging match? Instinctive, sure, but thoughtless too.

I also don't really understand how Ben Pope escaped without a second yellow. You can debate the merits of the challenge but his furious response to the decision was a clear caution for dissent for any referee, let alone that one. Given that the first yellow was for a blatant dive, that really would've been a ridiculous way to lose one of the team's most vital players to a suspension. We need to keep our heads.

The sending was a bit weird ...i personally thought Craig had already been booked in the first half (but having one eye on my old dad i may have been mistaken with that ).Then he got a second for kicking the ball away and it appeared from where i was sitting that the ref didn't initially realize that he had already booked him ,,,then produced the red .   Ben's challenge was a fair challenge but  it was a clash of heads......but we've all done our best on here to let other teams know that we could easily lose our heads in future games . With wind up merchants  likes of Trevor McCreadie due here next week , we need to be disciplined...That will be the real test of league winning team.

I had a clear view of the penalty , under the new hand to ball rules it was a clear pen and the ref did well to point to the spot immediately . Ramsgate's appeals were far from convincing that it was anything else other than a penalty ....

Not a pretty game but certainly one in the past where we may have let points slip

Still top, but with our match with Ashford in a few weeks could be crucial and with ex Hastings Aaron Condon on fire there at the moment , he will certainly be out to prove something

That was my reading of it too. Thought he got booked for pulling back an opponent to stop a break during the first half, although it's possible that might've been somebody else.

You may well be right about the red card, it just looked like he'd got 2nd yellow for dissent as couldnt see any other reason for the red and hadn't noticed he'd been booked in the first half.

This is on stones twitter

Imagine being sent off for dropping the hall behind me as I ran off !! Then to be given a 2nd yellow and to be told don’t do it again... the for the lino to remind the ref I’ve been booked twice!! #circus more importantly, another great 3 points and a clean one 🙌🏼⚽️🔥
