Just to advise that there is some excellent footage of this drawn FA Cup tie on You Tube now. The Pilot Field really was rocking with over 12,000 packed in the ground, including the speedway track

What fantastic footage, never seen that before.

Sadly Phil it will not happen in the near future. The largest crowd at the Pilot Field in recent years, was a little over 4,00 in the Harrogate replay 2012/13 season. That was capacity (sold out) at the time. Seven years later it is more likely to be even less, certainly not higher, maybe the same?

If we move to a new stadium, it looks likely it would be 3,00 or less capacity. Appreciate it could be expanded in the future. Be a long time before it goes over 12,000, if ever. But you never know.

I have uploaded the programme cover and centre pages (will do all the pages if anyone wants to see them), also newspaper reports from the match. I have put these on before, but lots of new supporters at the club these days, may not have seen them.

My dad refused to take me to the game. I was 6 years old and he said with the huge crowd expected it was too dangerous for me. Laudable idea but I have, always regretted that

I never went either. I was 5 and my dad refused to take me as he claimed he caught the Flu at the Pilot Field in 1937 and never went there again. My uncle who would have taken me was in the Army doing National Service.
