No disgrace eventually losing. Thought we were magnificent in the first half, but eventually Worthing got back into it. All our lads ‘worked their socks off ‘ and can be proud of their efforts. If it’s any consolation admission charges at St.Albans is £18, even £12 for concessions. So we have saved a few bob there.
By the way if anybody from Worthing reads this can I thank the First Aid chap who patched me up when I took a tumble...no damage done, certainly no brain damage!
Think we did enough in both games to win them both.
If we had taken our chances and gone 3-0 up in the replay I don't think Worthing would have come back from that.
Don't get me wrong as I thought Louis had a good game and kept us in it, but what he was doing when Worthing scored their winner I don't know as surely he should have been commanding his six yard box and either catching the ball or punching it away, but he seemed to be caught in no mans land.
Still I suppose it just wasn't to be. I didn't fancy travelling to St Albans anyway!
So we can now concentrate on the League starting with Three Bridges tomorrow!
