Great result, Solid performance again. Another clean sheet. James Pool was excellent in the middle of the park. Glad to see Ben Pope get his goals. His hard work paid off. Great start to the season.

James pool unlucky not to get man of the match in my opinion. I’d love to see the possession stats, as we must have had at lest 70%. Having said that, I thought the only time Faversham looked really dangerous was when we were passing round at the back.

Good result and totally dominated the game. Dave I agree with you we look an accident waiting to happen with all that passing around at the back, and a better side than Faversham will probably take advantage.

Agree with all the above. Generally pretty dominant without actually laying siege to their goal. Not too much threat from our opponents other than when they pressed hard on our defenders. I think we all appreciate what Chris is trying to do but you could sense the crowd's anxiety as the ball was regularly being passed back and then back again during the second half with our one goal lead looking rather fragile.
However, it was my first visit to the PF this season and feel encouraged by what I saw.

I agree with all of the above about our vulnerability when attempting to play it out from the back.
I remain of the view that over the season we will concede too many goals playing this way to gain promotion. Faversham (their number 11 apart) looked uninspiring and did not have the ability to capitalise on the opportunities which we presented to them. Other sides will surely not be so generous.
There can though be little doubt that Chris is absolutely committed to this system. Louis Rogers certainly attracted some critical remarks from the dugout on the few occasions he hit it long!
However, I very much want to be proved wrong. I support Chris for having a clear plan. There are positives. Players are showing signs of responding. In particular, a great deal is being asked of Louis. He has improved and that is continuing. I thought he showed great fortitude in not letting what looked like a nasty blow to the face affect his game last night.

Just to reinforce the other posts. Decent performance against a really disappointing Faversham team who based on that will be battling relegation this season. I think we were probably a 6 or 7 out of 10, which has to be a huge positive when winning the game so comfortably. We will only get better.

The playing out from the back argument will rumble on forever with some supporters. I like it, and believe its the right way to play and with the new rules this year on goal kicks it should be even easier to do. Just sometimes it would be nice to see us whip that early ball into the box. Once in the 2nd half, at the end of flowing passing move, Jake Elliott was on the corner of the box and had amples of time to whip in a ball to 3 waiting in the area but less than 20 secs later it was at the feet of Louis.

Player wise, we look as strong as ever at the back with Stone and Elphick in the early stages of what could be a fantastic partnership. Fingers crossed they stay fit. Elliott looks decent, Black still yet to win me over but Beale coming in gives us great cover.

Slightly disagree on James Pool. Decent game, neat and tidy, didn't see him give the ball away and did okay but sort of did everything Adam does, which of course, most people would say surely that's a good thing but would just like to see something a bit different and more dynamic in there and may struggle against better and more physical teams. But that's all being ultra tough on a 17 year old who did great and just my opinion, which is generally wrong anyway. Like the team though he will only get better and of course, we have both Sammy and Ansu as cover.

For me Daniel was MOM last night and every time he had the ball he looked a danger. Pleased Ben got his 2 goals. Was always going to get MOM but didn't deserve ahead of Daniel or Jack. Think he still has a way to go with his fitness but reminds me a lot of Frannie Collin. Not particularly mobile but looks like he may have that vital ingredient every top striker needs and thats being in the right place at the right time.

Decent night all round and dare i say that looked like a very Cray like performance rather than the Hastings of last season?

Why not, in the times of gender fluidity?
As long as he/ she enjoyed the evening

Can't remember the last time there were no away fans in the Cole Warren stand.
