Pre season does zilch for me so I rely on www.etc etc to keep me up to date. Various people have moved on recently and last night - Saturday evening - there's all this stuff about Chris. I know it gets a bit hit and miss with updates etc - Twitter can be all over the place for example - but there is nothing about the situation regarding Chris.
Gossip, speculation and rumour are not my preferred mode of communication regarding the team I support. Neither are social media messages from another club.
Can the club PLEASE tell us what is going on.
I have since watched the Dorking video which look like they did it live and reported it before kick off yesterday but nothing from the club. Absolutely shocking treatment for us supporters that pay money to watch. The website is always poor, some county league clubs are better and keeping their supporters informed. Think Hastings just take supporters for granted. 31 hours since Dorking reported it and still nothing. Unbelievable.
Well said Cliff. This club are without doubt one of the best supported clubs at this lowly level. The same old faces turn up week after week, win, lose or draw. Many coming to The Pilot field for over 40 - 50 years. So it would be nice if they were treated with a little bit more respect by the powers that be.
The news coming out this morning is that the manager is now coming back. Just utterly speechless to how this this club continues to operate and the constant revolving door of people and players in and out of the club. I’m not sure anyone will come out if this with any credibility with many of the stories that have circulated over the past 48 hours. We eagerly await the club statement and assume we may now see a change at director level if indeed Chris is back? As already stated, I just feel sorry for our loyal set of fans who have been pulled from pillar to post for way too long now. Its been a very dark and disappointing few days for the club we all love.

All very strange if he did resign and now he has changed his mind, it doesn’t bode well as there is usually an underlying current and things can never be the same again. If he did resign in the 1st place it’s probably best he goes.
Well you couldn't make this up !
Sounds like you know something about the internal politics that I certainly don't, John.
Don't agree with your comment, ChrisB. I believe CA is pivotal to our success this season. If he really did resign over an internal despute/politics that has since been fully resolved, don't ask me how, and he has now withdrawn his resignation then that is clearly for the best.
I actually wonder if the club will ever give a full statement as this all sounds a bit sensitive and personal.
I'm sure the HUFC grapevine will be busy in the coming hours and days. 😜😜😜
It's awful, how much contempt the powers that be have treated us fans! I follow home and away, and so do many here. The amount of money we spend, there should be more respect shown towards us! Supporters are the best asset at a football club. We are important!!
Totally agree with your comments Mick , Chris has to carry on this season. No doubt that there has been disagreements along the line, but if they have been solved amicably then is that not what management is all about. Have been looking at a few stats ,Chris has won 47 out of the 89 competitive games that he has been in charge. That is a win rate of 53% ,pretty good by any standards. So if you judge a manager by results he has probably been the best over the last 20 years.
As for madsters comments that as supporters pay a lot of money they are entitled to know everything that goes on. It does not apply in many walks of life and unless you are a major shareholder why should it apply here.
Let’s all now move on and support the Club in the weeks and months ahead.
Excellent, that’s that bit of fun over. Let’s move onto Eastbourne now and a meaty clash against our near neighbours including Simon Johnson, Prichard, Cole, Vickers etc. Should be a cracking game.
On Friday 26th July Manager Chris Agutter offered his resignation to the Board due to some footballing issues. The Board has since discussed at length with Chris these issues and these have all been resolved.
The Board did not accept his resignation and Chris has now formally withdrawn this and is happy to continue to manage team affairs.
There has been plenty of speculation since Friday from various other clubs and media channels. The Club would not respond whilst talks were ongoing and will not be responding to any outside speculation or making any further statement in this respect.
The matter has now been brought to a conclusion so that Chris can continue with pre season preparations and that we can be ready to go for Promotion from the off.
Agreed, Phil.
Assuming this has blown over we just need to move on. There is no obligation on the club to 'wash all their dirty linen in public'. However a statement by the club, however vague, is needed just to put the matter to bed.
Don’t agree think club have handled it well what good would issuing a statement have done. Though I don’t agree with board it’s they that make decisions that target the direction we go, and if things go well they will be proved right. If they go wrong they will carry the can. Let’s just hope this can lead to spur players and management on to get us out of this awful division.
Yeah I was there,,, I sent my scouts to check if the bar was open.. They came back with their tales between their legs,,, 2 of them actually went back out to the pub and came back just as Sam banged in the free kick.... They are sacked 👊,,, 😂😂. I went to the tea and coffee bar instead,,,, I was driving so it didn't bother me really, 😂
