After nearly 20 years @hastingsufc  having done a number of roles voluntary and 11 of those as groundsman it's time to say goodbye. Made a lot of friends and had great times with the FA Cup 3rd round being unforgettable. Will leave 31st July, 3 games to go!

What a big loss this is going to be. But I for one would like to say thank you to Simon for all his hardwork, on and off the pitch, remember he wasn't just a groundsman! His relentless efforts, mostly at an hour when alot of us are still tucked up in bed, in all weather's, were unprecedented. Yeah you thoroughly deserve free weekends and a lay in or 2 All the best Simon 👍

Totally agree. I'm very sorry to see Simon go. The consistent excellence of the pitch in recent years is a testament to his hard work and expertise.

It has made a huge difference to the Pilot Field having Simon in charge of the pitch, drainage etc. Hope he will still remain a supporter on the days he is free!
