After the 1-1 draw in all aspects a emotional game in an out the field against Whitstable it is now against
Faversham are currently the number 15th in the League with 26 points out of 24 games.
They scored 40 and conceded 61 goals. Topscorers : Miller with 8 and Goodjer with 7 goals.
Remember our away game back in November: https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/match/2018-2019/isthmian-football-league-south-east-division/faversham-town/hastings-united/113383
And we? Surely there are on and off the pitch some things going on at HU. 2 Statements on the official website;
1.The Board of Directors have recently received several complaints from other league clubs and also our own supporters about excessive swearing and antisocial behaviour coming from some of our alleged. ... antisocial behaviour coming from some of our alleged supporters during particularly away games.
2.The Club are aware of a very unsavoury incident that allegedly took place between an opponent and a supporter of the Club after the final whistle at Whitstable Town yesterday. Since the alleged incident the Club have been investigating, such investigations taking place before the Club left Whitstable, during Saturday evening and overnight. The Club made a report to the match referee after the match and asked him to report the alleged incident to the FA which the match referee said he would do, although he was unaware of the alleged incident. The Club itself will also be making a submission to the FA.
And on the pitch it seems we lost it a bit; we struggle against the teams low in the League table and our away form is terrible.Surely we have a young team but you can't say that every time. They have to learn quick otherwise it will be difficult to reach even the play offs.
Hope for a entertaining match and support the U'sssssss!
A great chip from David Ajakaiye worthy of winning any game and another good performance from Jamie Fielding to win MoM were the highlights of what was otherwise a pretty drab encounter against a robust Faversham side. Of course there were injuries and we missed the suspended Dixon; but unless we raise our game, create and put away more chances and above all reduce the miss placed passes (yet another to gift Faversham their goal), this season will end in disappointment.
One positive I liked was the great enjoyment the whole team displayed at the end of the game in getting three hard won points and in congratulating David on his excellent goal. Let's hope team spirit will get us through this difficult patch.
Glad to get the three points but a worryingly unimpressive performance. Faversham have one of the worst defensive records in the league but couldn't see us scoring in the second half. No pace, no intensity, no creativity. Positives-good to have Sam Beale back, a good performance from Jamie Fielding and the three points.
