Excellent stuff after our usual slow start , I think that’s the fourth or fifth time we have had to come from behind this season. One fact that should be taken into account is that we were told that none of East Grinstead ‘s starting line up tonight started on Saturday. but a very entertaining game.

The thing is even if it wasn't the team from the weekend he should have had them in. As for me mid week games like this helps with fitness and sharpness in games. So resting them is a nono as training isn't as intense as a real game.

Phil - that's an easy thing to say when it wasn't the team that started on Sat!! Heard that all before lol it because they got hammered lol. We had our reserves out on Sat to Hythe! That's why we lost then.

Wonderful quote on their twitter feed - " not our night". I suspect Saturday will be a bit different for us!

The funniest bit was when we were leading 9-2 one of their supporters shouted “next goal wins”.

Other times when a team playing as United has scored 9 goals?
Certainly Hastings 9 Deal Town 0 in December 1965 is one
This home game was followed by 6 goals against Ramsgate and 7 against Kettering

Are there other goal successes

As I recall in 1962/3 we scored 8 at Dover and 5 the following Saturday at home to Trowbridge. Phil will correct me if I am wrong but the Dover game was when our reserves played them at the Pilot Field on the same day and both their keepers turned up to play there.

Remember a couple of seasons ago under Darren Hare we beat Guernsey 6-1, followed that up with a 7-0 win over Herne Bay 3 days later, and then Whyteleafe 4-0 on the Saturday. 17 goals in a week.  A week later we drew 4-4 at Carshalton with Steve Watt scoring a hatrick and then a couple of weeks later went to Chatham and won 7-0. Think that was both Tom Climpson's and Hughes-Mason's debuts. Those were crazy days!!
