Come and join us this SaturdayΒ at the Pilot Field where we host Bostik League Premier side Kingstonian in the FA Cup 1st qualifying round.
As the excitement builds after 5 wins from 5, Chris, his staff and the players are aiming to continue this great winning run and we need as many supporters to get behind the team as possible.
We will be holding our first bucket collection of the season for theΒ Fans Player Fund (FPF) and would like to thank supporters for their ongoing support of this scheme. The funds raised go directly into the football side of the Club and help greatly as we push for success and promotion.
The Pilot Bar continues to host "Happy Hour" sessions on selected drinks, both before and after the game, and we are also delighted to welcome back Kevin Jones who will be providing great live music between 5.00pm and 7.00pm.Β
See you all Saturday for a great day of football and entertainment!
What a super result today for Hastings. Really rode our luck at times in the second half but thought our first half performance just about gave us a deserved victory. Super performances from Christie and the ever improving Dixon. Thought Ogboe had his best game for Hastings since joining, but MOM for me was Jahmal who was immense at the back today. Really exciting times at Hastings and a bumper crowd of 600 plus. Role on Hythe next Saturday.Β
Well done Chris and the boys, all played well, Not sure what Charlie was doing sometimes, but he also had a great game. What a fantastic pace the game was played at, and we were up to it, dare I say it, a good cup run (cash) and winning the leauge !, well if the first 6 games are anything to go by, not just winning them, but playing really good football to boot.
Yes it was a great result and we hung on well. But it wasnβt the football that concerned me today it was our physio and manager, when Dayshonne went down it was cleat that he had been knocked out though very briefly, when he got up he staggered about. I think Chris and Dane need to seriously look at themselves as by letting him play on they put his health at risk. Perhaps they should both go on a head injury awareness course.
I certainly hope that Dayshonne recovers fully and swiftly from his head injury. He had an excellent game and we looked a much poorer side in the second half after he had departed (for a hospital check?) Agree with John that there were very good performances from Christie, Jack Dixon and Jamahl. I was less impressed though with Ogboe - I thought particularly in the first half he failed to latch on to three or four very good balls which came his way. A better second half performance though so credit to him for keeping going. Very pleased the crowd was 600 plus. So many times in the recent past we have built up expectations, got a good gate and then produced a stinker of a performance. Not so today!

Great performance and a really entertaining match. The ref tried to keep the game flowing and that helped to produce a proper cup tie. Adam really is our unsung hero and Crutts looked at home in the centre. Danny ran and ran for 90 mins and was my MoM.
Another home draw please.
It was a great cup tie-very entertaining to watch with Hastings riding their luck at times. Was worried Kevin's opportunity to make it 3-1 would cost us but Hastings hung on. Wish we had a big forward for those last 10 minutes as Kingstonian really pushed on and Charlie had to launch a few long clearances up to our 3 small forwards. Well done to all the squad for an excellent performance in front of 600 plus crowd.
Yea - got lucky in the 2nd half but overall we were worth the win. Kingstonian might be struggling in Bostik Prem but they illustrated that 10-15% difference between our respective divisions. So all the more credit to our boys in front of a decent gate. Well impressed with our centre halfs and Daniel up front - Mr Livewire.
It is a long journey, way past Ipswich but all being well I shall be there. We could get Cheshunt, not quite so far, just off the M25 on the northern section.
