After another win we are back at TPF against Phoenix_Sports_F.C._logo.png

Phoenix are currently the number 4 in the table with also 3 wins in a row.

They scored 9 and conceded 3 goals. Top scorers are: Duah-Kessie with 4 and Ansah with 2 goals.

Last season we drew 1-1 Sam Adams scored a penalty

And we? Both teams have a 100% score. Nice to see how Hastings will do against a strong team with very good forward players.

Enjoy the game.

Phoenix wins have been against the bottom three sides but should be a good game. Crowd 500 hopefully.

What an absolute joy. Our best performance of the season so far. Daniel’s second goal was magic. If that had been Premier League would have been shown every week.No doubt Chris would have been happy with the clean sheet. Trust our visitors from Holland and Norway enjoyed non - League football.

Agree with Phil and Wayne completely. This was our best home performance I have seen for a very long time. I have thus far been sceptical of the style of play chosen by Chris but unquestionably today it all came together. We looked in control of the game and, sadly, the only answer which Phoenix had in the later stages was to go beyond niggling challenges to indulge in out and out foul play. A pity, because I thought until that point the game had been played in a good spirit.
Daniel's second goal was indeed very special. What a turn!
But there were a host of great performances out there today - even better was that we are functioning as a team. Chris' comments in the Observer are clearly no idle boast - the side does look a very a happy one. The smile on Daniel's face as he was congratulated by all after he was substituted was a testament to that.
Well done all!

Was that the same Daniel who couldn’t buy a goal until Sam Adams threw him the ball for the penalty a few weeks ago ? What a turning point. Great turn and finish for the second goal.
And a clean sheet! Those shouts of “taxi for Agutter” early in his tenure seem pretty premature now. I guess those who shouted it know all about being premature.

Great performances by the whole team. What a way to go top of the league, I know Cray play tomorrow, scoring lots of goals could be the difference at the end of the season. Thanks to Chris and the lads for the entertainment and for making a lot of old men very happy.

Only my second season watching Hastings but that was by far the best 90 minutes of football I have seen Hastings play. Quick, skilful but the thing that really stands out is the understanding between players and the team spirit there appears to be. Compared to early last season the difference is huge. The only down side is the kit, makes me feel nauseous!

Keep this going and this could be a very good season although it will be interesting to see how the team adapt when the pitch becomes softer and muddy but I think they might take it all in their stride.

Sorry Bert, must have been a very late result.
I love the white kit.

Yes, it was a pleasure to be at the Pilot Field watching Hastings play so well. We did miss a lot of chances in the first half and if Phoenix had scored with a real opportunity at the start of the second half things might have been different. But it was great to see Hastings dominate the game for such long periods and score some excellent goals.
